It depend how good your attack is. If you also have a stable defence I would recommned using a counter attacking method.

Counter attack and play best team i did this with leeds and beat Newcastle 1-0 and Liverpool 3-2 while still in league 2 also if you are ahead bring on defenders and just defend for the whole game.

i agree. also when i go against prem sides in the cups i like to have my mids really press their creative players and tackle um hard. but i usually build my teams around big thugs who can tackle.

for each of my mids i set their closing down to really high and their tackling to hard. i also set my opp instructions for their creative players to always close down and tackle hard. it also helps to have ref that doesn't give out a lot of cards or else you could get into card trouble quick playing this way. but when i play prem teams my goal isnt to win its to try to injure as many of their players as i can just happens that i have had more success then i expected vs big clubs playing this way. i beat arsenal 3-1 as Millwall and injured 4 of their players. but i also got 5 yellows and a red

i only set my mids to tackle hard. by setting the opposition instructions of their creative players to tackle hard everyone will still try to tackle those players hard. but only your mids will try to tackle everyone hard. to get your forwards to harass their keeper. set your forwards closing down to really high and set the opposition instructions on their keeper to always close down and tackle hard. it helps to have a forward that is really determined and aggressive. if they aren't then even though you tell them to close down a lot they still might not.

Close them down all game, play narrow but quick, counter them and go in hard on the tackle.
