Tactics creation guide - step by step

Hi, all! My first post here. I''ve been playing football manager games since CM 96/97, but I skipped a few years of FMs so I'm more or less lost now.
Pardon me if there is already a thread like this, because I didn't notice it.

Is there such a thing as I stated in the thread title?

I mean, I've read lots of nice details on the forums so far, but I haven't managed to find a detailed step-by-step guide how to create a decent tactic in classic mode, what does each slider do and how to use it...

I'm wondering how did you all learn to cope with the amount of details FM forces you to take in? The good old trial and error seems a bit too time consuming in case of such a detailed football manager game...

This is closest thread possible to what you're looking for here on Base.

I am looking at making one when I get the full game, but then that may take a bit longer too. Just use the one I have linked for now. It's a good guide too.
