Tactics Help

I downloaded FM 2013 for ios a week ago, and have gotten completely addicted, but... I'm having trouble figure out what tactics to go with. I'm playing as Crystal Palace, and it seems like I can beat either really terrrible teams, or really good teams (I've taken down West Ham and QPR in the FA Cup), but I cannot beat Championship teams that are comparable. I'm running a 3-4-3 right now, because I have a complete lack of decent fullbacks. It looks like this:

GK- Speroni
DC- McCarthy- Central Def.
DC- Eastman (new signing)- Central Def.
DC- Streete (loan)- Central Def.
DMC- Jedinak- Ball winning mid
CM- Garvan-Box to Box Mid
LW- Bolasie- Winger
RW- Zaha- Winger
AMC- Andre Moritz- Adv. Playmaker
SC- Wilbraham- Target Man
SC- Murray- Poacher

Team Mentality: Balanced
Passing Style: Direct
Tackling: Normal
Pressing: Yes
Offside Trap: Yes
Counter Attack: Yes

Any suggestions you all can give will be a huge help! Thanks.

Try taking counter attacking off, if the teams are comparable you don't have to rely on them to attack and soak up pressure.
