Tactics in 2nd season

I have never used the same tactic in the next season but am considering doing it this time, does anyone find that the tactic doesnt work anymore or is it worth going with it again?

It depends on your situation and the tactic. I've used the same tactic now for 3 seasons.

Space is important. An example. If you're one of the weaker teams and teams are mostly quite attacking against you and your tactic is extremely direct to take advantage of the space they leave, it'll hardly work when you start to grow and teams park the bus. The space left to you is very different then and your tactic isn't set up to do that.

I always use the same tactic for many seasons and never had any problem

I had one save with Everton where I used the same tactic no problem.

Some saves I'm having to change during the season. Sometimes I have to adapt to long term injuries

My team had second season sycndrome...tactics that i use in 1st season at epl can't use anymore...
