Very good post my friend. Glad to see a tactic cracking down arsenal. I avoided playing a narrow formation due to their wide threats, although.. This post suggests that they don't actually pose a threat.

I will adjust and upload. Thanks again :) Can you mail me with some team instructions you used and who performed best etc.?

That is freaking amazing mate well done, i've struggled against man utd tho and was wondering why and ive found out why by reading the comments about them really precise detail mate looking foward to seeing more information about then in future. I did know about the chelsea one tho as on my current Arsenal save i hold a pretty darn good record against them when we played each other met them played 6 won 4 and drawn 2. well i mean alright.

as again your pretty much spot on with the information as on my Arsenal guide i said i play with a slow tempo game anyway. Hoping to download the tactic for man utd and hopefully it works:)

Wow. Amazing results for you against Chelsea. May i know a few things about the tactics you used in your games like formations etc?
I still need to work on these tactics, they will work with the right squad hopefully. But i'm always improving :) Let me know how you get on mate.

Yh sure mate, i tend use a standard 442 formation as it my personal favourite but when playing Chelsea i do tweak a few players from my usual tactic. I use a 442 formation a very slow tempo with short style of passing as it increaes the percentage of passes your team puts together and reduces the amount of mis placed passes and as you pointed out aswell it makes chelsea dont pressure your players as often because it will expose them as all my players are very very good passers.

Against chelsea's 41212 formation i dont think you have noticed but the two upfronter for chelsea tend to drift out wide alot into crossing areas trying to lure your two center backs way out of position and most of the time chelsea will punish you as usually lampard/essien would have a clear run at goal to score it. If i can remember that long ago it was the first game i played against chelsea and i drawn 2-2. Second game i chasnged slightly and focused all my intensions of my player instructions for my two center mids, two wingers, full backs no one else. My right slotted midfelder was song(ball winning midfielder/support) and i slightly changed his mentality a little lower than fabregas's and made him a little more defensive minded to man mark lamaprd always to stop him making clear runs into the box. Fabregas(BTB mid/support) has a normal mentality and to zonal mark getting him to track back to mark anyone to makes a foward run. Two wingers(defensive mid/support) are to press the opposites full back and force them backwards leaving chelsea having no width at all so it really takes the pressure off your full backs. I have got alot of goals from winning the ball off ashley cole and bosingwa too but make sure your wingers have very good stats for creativity, technique, decisions because as soon as they win the ball they must have good composure and decision making and the ability to spot a danger 'zone' where he can deliver a cross quickly as ashley cole and bosingwa are very fast would want to win the ball back quickly. Your left/right back(full back/support) their player instructions you should tick 'tight marking' and 'marking and they should mark zonal and get them to close down qutie often anyone who drifts out wide into a crossing area. As i listed above it chelsea's two upfronters tend to drift out side alot into a crossing area trying to split up your two center backs leaving the likes of lampard/essien a clear run into the box to score so my main role for my full backs are to close down the player quickly but softly so they dont concede and freekick to make them rush abit to give your center back a little more time to get set before the cross is actually delivered.

Again thanks for for man utd tactic mate. Hopefully my little advice will help abit.

Yeah. I noticed Anelka does drift a lot in the game, aswell as drogba. But if your team do push up, then it can stop an aerial threat and also some short passes to allow them to dribble in the position. Thanks for this long post. It's definatly helped me understand player mentality more. I will update the tactic based on this advice also, thanks a lot mate, let me know how the tactics are getting on guys. They still need major tweaking as i haven't tweaked them as yet. oO)

Well done m8 will try it out.
Now go and make tactics how to beat every Nations top 4 teams.:P

This was my first ever thread :) I don't plan on making more threads about how to beat the top teams. But if this thread gets over 100 comments. I may look into it. (I know that will never happen) So.. 8-|

Now please make a thread about how to beat Man City/Villa/Tottenham/Everton.

I will add Manchester City and Tottenham over this week probably.
This thread seems to be dieing though. oO).

quick question, I have never used this tactics. But do they really work since in most circumstances your changing your shape, formation, team and player instructions? Or would it work because its a one off game?

I trust you guys to change the tactics in accordance to your team structure etc.
Most of my player mentalitys will not work for your players. Especially as the positions are different. I would not class these as, plug in and play. They need a lot of work from you guys. But these are my first tactics. And.. They should work in the first season. But after that, the top four would have changed their squad too much. Although, you can try it.

Results are now up guys.
Both mine, and some screenshots you have sent in.
Keep em' coming! :D

Nice work, I always find beating Chelsea near impossible!

It's a very hard challenge. Them and Arsenal will just dominate your possession. Thats probably the only game i go in defensive.. <)

OMG, I just beat the invincible Chelsea in the Champions League final!! :O

Also a very nice result against Arsenal :)

I am leeds i will use this when i play in cup or when i make to big time
