Tax System

Clubs don't pay their players taxes...

Wait a minute...

If a player is being paid weekly 86,000 pounds and the wage after tax is 41,500 pounds.

The tax the player "is" paying is being paid by the club. It´s a cost for the club as it´s part of the contract given. It´s not something added to the contract but part of the contract itself.

The same happens with the Staff contracts who have a wage but after tax that wage is less.

You are paying the tax yourself...

Can you please clarify this?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if this happens in FM but irl some players get their tax paid for them. E.G Messi's new contract states that Barca pay his income tax and give him a bonus for each competion they win with him which then gets added to his weekly wage.

You're paying it yourself because it gets taken out of your income, your boss pays you and you pay the tax man.

The tax system is just another little bit of realism or whatever added to the game, you can ignore it because it makes no difference at all to you and who you sign.
