Hi and welcome to my AC Milan guide as you might know AC Milan are in a period of rebuilding. This makes it a hard team to start with, as the super stars that once lived in this club is now gone and the team has a handful of new players that needs time to find place and learn the style of this historic club. Are you prepered to take on the task?

Club History

Milan's roots are foreign. They were founded in 1899 by Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin, two English expatriates, and the spelling of the club as Milan rather than Milano is a nod to the club's history.

AC Milan are the worldly wise travellers of Italian football. They have won more international competitions than domestic championships, and no team in the world has more than their 18 global trophies.

  • European Cup/Champions League: 1962-63, 1968-69, 1988-89, 1989-90
    1993-94, 2002-03, 2006-07
  • European Cup Winners Cup: 1967-68, 1972-73
  • UEFA Super Cup: 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007
  • Serie A: 18
  • Coppa Italia: 5
  • Super Coppa: 5

San Siro

  • Surface: Grass
  • Pitch Cndition: Perfect
  • Corporate Facilities: Top
  • Training facilities: Top
  • Youth facilities: Good (sometimg to work on)

Rivals

Juventus & Inter Milan
Other rivals:
Roma, Napoli, atalanta, Verona, Lazio, Fiorentia, Genoa and Livorno.

The Team

Those listed in red is not Milan quality.
Key players

  • Robinho: (Works great as a inside forword, If your not going to play with wingers I recommend selling him. Consider his wages)
  • Mario Balotelli: (A good player made bad by the game. He is good but not a key player. (Consider his wages before keeping)
First team

  • Massimo Ambrosini: (Keep to he deside to retire)
  • Christian Abbiati: (Keep to he deside to retire)
  • Luca Antonini: (Good cheap player always keep him as a backup)
  • Sully Muntari: (Injured from start and will not get back to his good days)
  • Philippe Mexes: (Very high wages for his quality, should consider replacing him)
  • Riccardo Montolivo: (Quality player your playmaker, his good either forward or deep)
  • Antonio Nocerino: (Quality player a great cm and a ballwinner)
  • Ignazio Abate: (Quality player your main RB, he has great speed and are good up pitch, a great WB)
  • Kevin-Prince Boateng: (Quality player all around, can be trained in many roles)
  • Christian Zapata: (OK CB fast but lack concentration wich is very important in a CB. Good rotation)

Rotation & Backups

  • Mario Yepes: (An old warrior OK CB, keep him as a backup until his contract expires)
  • Giampaolo Pazzini: (Good in front of goal, he is good with his head but lack jumping ability and speed. Great as rotation option)
  • Nigel de Jong: (Great DMC a player that can become a key player)
  • Bojan: (Good with the ball has some potetial)
  • Cristian Zaccardo: (OK backup his all the defensive abilitys. getting old)
  • Daniele Bonera: (OK backup but his wages are too high)
  • Marco Amelia: (Good backup but only as backup)
  • Mathieu Flamini: (Good backup but again too high wages)
  • Bakaye Traore: (High wages and have nothing to offer a club like Milan)
  • Kevin Constant: (OK backup also very cheap)

Hot Prospects

  • Stephan El Shaarawy: (Who haven't heard of this kid yet? he posseses great speed and technique can play either AML, AMR or ST has all he needs to play all positions)
  • M'baye Niang: (A great prospect turn in to a physical beast with alot of pace)
  • Bartosz Salamon: (Good prospect super in the air, lack defensive abilitys)
  • Mattia De Sciglio: (Great talent good in possesion and good without, turn in to one of the greatest FBs)
  • Didac Vila: (Good lad has the potetial to be a first team player)
  • Gabriel: (Not as good as in real life)
  • Riccardo Saponara: (Good prospect has the potetial of becoming someting with milan)
  • Bryan Cristante: (Another one that turns into a physical beast with ok passing and creativity)
  • Andrea Petagna: (Not as good as in real life)

So when you look at this team you can easly see what need to be changed. The defense is weak in many aspects as you need to look to improve your CBs, LB and GK.

Nice guide mate! Would you have De Jong as your Anchor Man?

Nice guide, but the part where you talk about Robinho and Balotelli... it's HIS not HES :D

Can you show us the team instructions for the 3 formations please ?

This is recommended formations I've not made a spesific tactic yet. But are currently working on a 4-3-1-2 and 4-5-1.
