Hey everyone. In FM 2009 I'm Plymouth Argyle and my aim is to get them up to the premiership. I have bought some great players but I'm fighting relegation at the moment.:mad: Since my players are good, I've decided it must be my tactics or something. Here is my line up.
GK= Jason Brown
DR= David Mcnamee
DL= Tommy Spurr
DC= Kriztian Timar
DC= Marcel Seip
DM= Lee Ho
AMR= Nicholas Marin (Loan)
AML= Jim Patterson
STR= Emile Mpenza
STR= Steve Mclean
STR= Paul Gallagher/Jamie Mackie (Rotates every match)

Team Instructions:
Mentality: Attacking
Tempo: Quick
Passing style: Direct
Width: Wide
Closing down: Whole Pitch
Time wasting: Rarely (Unless I'm winning in the last 10 minutes)
Counter Attack: On
Tight Marking: On
Play Offside: On

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Your midfield is far too weak,play with 2 strikers and put another player in central midfield.

Why have you posted this in the FM 2006 tactics forum!?

Hi i am having the same trouble with slightly different approach with 442 attacking formation, but not doing very well... :) I hope some one could point me in the right direction !!! I brought loads of players as well but nothing becoming of it as yet!! They are recommended by summerfield blast him lol

As woody said, your midfield is so weak, how can you expect one midfielder to cover the width of the pitch? Stick to 442 or 4411 or 4141.
