I have, for some time, been creating a legend database that I have and will be using for my legends auction game. It will eventually be made available to all, along with the graphics pack that I have created specifically for it.

The idea is to create a relatively small database adding 300 former footballing greats to the current squads in the game. Their ages will range from 15 to 35, and there will be a range of different positions. I have concentrated on both English Premiership clubs and the top European clubs, with a few notable individuals from smaller clubs.

It is still a long way from completion (curently done 170) but I am posting now so that I can gauge opinion and hopefully receive some suggestions of major players that I have missed. If you have any suggestions, please post below and maybe give some evidence and reasoning as to why they should be included.

I may also offer the database as it currently stands to some individuals for trial, so that I can test the ratings, CA / PA etc that I have given the players.

Here is the list of players that I currently have: (Red = already done, Blue = manager):

Mate, can you post me a screenshot of Steve McManaman? He's my all time favourite player, so i'd like to see how he looks in your database :D

Wouldn't mind seeing Bergkamp. It's upsetting that Henry hasn't retired yet as he won't be included in the Arsenal team.

what about Telmo Zarra is he in it

he was fantasic striker in his day

should have put sansom and ian wright in palace

I have assigned players to clubs based on either:

1) The team that they made the most appearances for
2) The team that they spent the most time at
3) The team that they made their name at

All players are set to the age that they joined that club (eg Bergkamp joined Arsenal in 1995 when he was 26)

Have you got any more information on him? Would he be worthy of a place alongside the greats that are already included?

Jimmy McGrory - Celtic

Florian Albert - Ferencvaros

Goalscoring record for each is mightily impressive.

Jim Baxter - Rangers

Regarded as one of Scotland's best ever players. Which probably means he's very average :P

Carlos Valderrama - Atlectico Junior

For the hair. And he was a decent player too.

Eduard Streltsov - Torpedo Moscow

Although he was in jail during his prime, he was an excellent player apparently. Interesting life, and in Jonathan Wilson's book he's described as one of the world's best ever players. Shame he missed what was meant to be the peak of his career as a result of a debatable crime.

I don't want this thread to become a screenshot thread as it may spoil the database for some people. Please do not request anymore screenshots guys :P

Man, the finishing should be 19, dribbling 20, flair, creativity, speed all 20. Everything 20. HE WAS THE PERFECT PLAYER. ALL 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

seriously though, he was hella creative.

Excellent, this is the sort of stuff that I am after. Valderrama is in, at Montpellier. Looking at his playing history, he didn't stay at any club for too long but to make him a little younger I put him at the French club. Can't believe I missed Baxter, he will most certainly be in, and I'll have to do a bit of research on the rest. Cheers

At 25, he hasn't yet reached his potential. Hopefully he will be nearing those attributes at his peak (ie 27+ years old)
