Mexico 0 - 2 U.S.A

U.S.A got one back on Mexico as they beat them 2 nil in the reverse fixture in Mexico City. Over 100,000 Mexicans watch there national side lose, Landon Donovan with the first, Clint Dempsey the architect, arguably the U.S.A's two best attackers. Mexico threatened on the break but the U.S defence remained sturdy throughout aided by the spectacular Tim Howard. This was a far cry away from the side that lost out to Mexico back in January, it showed how far the National team had come. Rafael Marquez own goal from a corners only added to Mexico's misery as the National team carried there winning streak on to 6.

Dempsey and Donovan tear apart El Salvador​

A Clint Dempsey brace and a Donovan goal saw off a poor El Salvador team in Foxboro. Dempsey put the U.S in front with a 20 yard effort which was then doubled when Donovan scored inside the box. The win was confirmed when Dempsey converted from the penalty spot on 39 minutes.

Trinidad and Tobago 0 - 3 U.S.A​

U.S.A fielded a weakened team against Trinidad and Tobago but it didn't stop them coming home victorious, Drew Moor got his first goal for U.S.A heading in from a corner. Right back Steven Cherundolo scored twice after tapping in twice from the far post, this result meant that U.S.A have qualified for the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP IN SOUTH AFRICA.

I am delighted that the side has managed to making it to the World Cup, it has become a regularity in recent years and I am delighted that we've been able to maintain this, now the team must focus on finishing top of our qualification group.I will be analysing all players in the MLS and in Europe on who I should pick for the World Cup but I can assure you, I will make no mistakes and pick the squad that I think is capable of performing at the World Cup, I want to show the World how far the U.S.A have come in soccer and that the Confederations Cup was no fluke.

I am delighted the team have qualifyed, it has something us and Jason have worked hard on the past year, now I must focus on my domestic game so I can be sure of my place on the plane to South Africa, we believe that our current group of players have a good chance of making the knock-out stages of the World Cup

Altidore scores a few, I rotate him with Davies, I play Dempsey upfront too though. Adu is in the squad but he's not first team, I play Edu, Bradley and Jones as a midfield trio.

Honduras 1 - 4 U.S.A

The U.S.A tore apart Honduras despite going down to an early Chavez goal in Norte e Sur. Clint Dempsey didn't take long to reply and then the U.S.A took the lead via Landon Donovan to the give the U.S.A the lead going into the break. Bobby Boswell got the third after nodding in from a corner and then U.S star Donovan put the game beyond doubt with a well timed finish.

Costa Rica fall against ruthless U.S.A​

U.S.A 2 - 0 Costa Rica

U.S.A were back in New York with there fringe players as they won by a two goal margin in front of 25,000 U.S.A supporters. Kenny Cooper opened the scoring with a delightful goal 3 minutes in, however the match remained goalless for the next 80 until Santino Quaranta fired home to confirm the U.S.A's three points.

This result meant that U.S.A finished top of qualifying three point ahead of rivals Mexico.

Team not seen is El Salvador who finished bottom.

Clint Dempsey not seen on Average rating

Landon Donovan was the best player through qualifying as well as U.S.A Bobby Boswell. Clint Dempsey came third which made it a U.S.A triple. Carlos Vela, Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey shared the top scorer award with five goals each. Donovan was top assister with 5.

I believe I speak for the nation when I say this, we our very proud of our teams performance in qualifying and our looking forward to seeing them compete in South Africa in July. I for one have been following there games with great intent and I was ecstatic when they managed to qualify.

U.S.A Face a tough test when they Denmark for there final National game of the 2009 season. It will be National coach Jason Perveek's first game against a European side and many our questioning whether the U.S.A are good enough to overcome the Danes.

Denmark 1 - 4 U.S.A​

U.S.A shocked the Danes on there home ground today as they beat them by a three goal margin. Landon Donovan gave them the lead after veteran Pablo Maestroeni played a long ball over the top in which Donovan latched in to before executing a neat finish inside the box. Young striker Jozy Altidore doubled the U.S.A lead tapping in at the back post from Donovan. He then added to his tally in the second half with a great diving head from the siz yard box. The Danes pulled one back from Thomas Kristensen penalty after substitute Spector gave away a penalty. However, substitutes Kenny Cooper then set up fellow substitute Santino Quaranta to turn the U.S victory into a route.

Perveek names Player of the season

I am pleased to tell you that Bobby Boswell has named my player of the season, our campaign during qualifying has been great and a number of players have stood out. Team spirit has hit and all time high. Boswell has got this award off me though because he has become World class and he doesn't even play in Europe, he is one of teh few ball playing central defenders out there, his technical skill is second to none and he has done all this playing in the MLS which makes it even more impressive.
