Nah, I just like to **** you off. I never argue with Calum, for instance.

You can't come to the Arsenal thread and not **** Joss off. The thread isn't the same if he isn't ranting at someone and throwing 20 different statistics out to prove them wrong. :)

I think you'll find I only rant on average 3.67 times out of 10 when someone trolls in an Arsenal thread. Furthermore, the statistic that 90% of the time, I'm right every time shows just how much of a massive bell-end you are when I know that 94.7% of people on fm-b missed me when Tiraths (the *******) banned me.

Whilst all the Arsenal fans are distracted I think I'll break a quote from Xavi on the Fabregas saga:
"I spoke to Cesc in Ibiza & he said he was suffering because he wanted to come... he did everything he could to come & wants to leave"

How is none of this regarded as tapping up?

i remembered xavi said that he was 'loan' to arsenal. big joke barca.

Chesney's ****. You need a new keeper. RvP's ****. You need a poacher forward. Barca are right about Fabregas, they deserve him.

It actually took us half the day you were gone to even notice. :P

XD Ditto. Just desserts for one of the more dislikeable Prem players.

I think you find the correct spelling is Scjhpodfjweofjewfmym5y5;py65py56ktl;gmt;hmny.

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal's Samir Nasri still has a 'very good attitude' despite speculation surrounding his future

I think we should all move on and discuss Arsenal's and more importantley Carl Jenkinson's and Ryo Miyachi's (think i spelt it worng but u know), great start to what will surely be a great pre-season and what looks to be a good season ahead!.....Personally i thought Jenkinson had an amazing game, probably only making two very minor mistakes if tht! So looks like we have two great right-backs for the season :) Also i thought Miyachi had a solid game, you can see he has been homed into dutch football but with a little Wenger magic ( yes he still is my favourite manager depsite the wear and tear ) Miyachi can become a great player....looks like another Arshavin firgure but seem to not dwell on the ball as much, maybe due to youthful enthusiasm!

Anyone else agree?....

Jenkinson had a decent game, looked a little shaky and had his opposition been of a higher quality he may have made a few mistakes, still looked promising however. Miyaichi looked exciting, he's quick, skillfull and isnt afriad to take people on, huge potential imo.

Ramsey played very well and looks a fit replacement for Fabregas, im beggining to get an out with the old in with the new feeling as for 60 minutes of the game we seemed very lively, and most importantly not afraid to shoot from outside the box. After the likes of RvP, Nasri and Arshavin came on, we once again tried one too many passes and lost possesion at the key moments, which leaves my final opinion that the coming season will be no different to the past 2, we will flatter to decieve, show promise, and die of when it comes down to the buisness end, no trophies and worse, no champions league football unless a miracle is worked at the Emirates.

Didn't watch the game nor seen any highlights due to work and darts, hearing it was a good game though. Can't wait to see the new boys.

Yes! We should move on...

And yes! Miyaichi and Jenkinson were very good.

There are a few points I think Arsenal need to solve before they can win the League, or just make the top four now that the Scousers and spending their benefits and Man City are spending Arab oil...

Back in the Double-winning season of 97/98, they had this defence and keeper - Lee Dixon, Tony Adams, Steve Bould (Martin Keown), Nigel Winterburn, David Seaman. They shared a few characteristics with a battleship; they were as solid as one, had the same potential for causing broken bones and about as friendly as one. Highbury was scary then - you'd get ready for the game, head out onto the pitch only to have 4 north Londoners eyeing your kneecaps hungrily must've been a pretty scary experience. Dixon and Winterburn weren't your modern attacking wingbacks - no Sir! They were snarling, foam at the mouth rottweilers that tackled with all their body parts, bar their adam's apple. Adams made Vinnie Jones behave himself, and on the bench you had Keown sipping battery acid. That they dominated the airspace better than the RAF in '41 goes without saying. Arsenal need to buy new types of players; they have enough small, light, technically-gifted attacking midfielders. Arsenal need to sign a defender with more years in prison than teeth, and a file for filling his studs may be useful as part of the contract. All sports require a bit of violence; it would at least make golf a lot more interesting.

Which brings us to the keeper problem. Whoever thought covering the keeper's gloves with vaseline must've been an absolute genius, and probably in the pay of Chelsea.

Tactics-wise, Wenger has gone from counter-attacking football to trying to pass the ball to Fabregas as much as possible during an attack. Granted, it may be difficult to play counter-attacking football without a half-competent backline.

This brings us to the next point on the agenda. Physically stronger smaller EPL teams. The tactic when playing these teams away from home is usually to have their midfield destroyed by a pack of angry pumas, concede a goal from a set piece, and then proceed to pass the ball from side to side in the opposition half, while being careful it doesn't go anywhere near a goal.

According to argentine media, Arsenal scouts were sent to Argentina to watch young promise Tomás Martinez and they liked what they saw. The kid had no professional contract so Arsenal would have to pay minimal compensation, but the River board reacted by quickly drafting a contract with a 10m release clause. The kid's represented by his family who agreed to the deal, but it's been said that this ddin't discourage Arsenal and some sort of negotiations are ongoing, with Arsenal willing to pay a figure around 2m US.

There are quotes by an "unnamed River board member", so it sounds fake, but by all accounts the kid's a monster, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he was being followed by any major european clubs. River's relegation and current debt has turned them into an attractive target, too.
