at least frimpong and young riyo are playing quite well and could be useful next year
 
Midfield are completely out of their depth. Squilachi is completely useless. The same goes for Chamakh. It's going to be a long season alright.
 
You've nothing to be ashamed of, Benfica have a terrific squad, with great individual talent and their key players have been together for a good while. There's no reason to panic - yet.

Pretty much how I feel right now. I know it's only pre-season, but that second half was horrendous.

It's an absolute disgrace that the squad as a whole isn't 100% a week before the season starts properly. Gibbs looked tired in the second half after a good first half, and he and Vermaelen both made mistakes for the equaliser after doing well prior to that.

By the end, our defending was getting desperate - lots of tired lunges and we were completely outclassed by a team who made it look like the game at the Camp Nou last season. Not necessarily Wenger's fault, but some stern words are needed with those who still don't appear to have gotten over last season's collapse. Djourou, Squillaci, Chamakh in particular.
 
if we play like this our season will be over by sept 1st lol
 
I thought we would finish 5th but by the sounds of it we are going to get relegated by January 1st.
 
When our top team has played, we haven't been too bad. It's just a case of when the back-ups play they are pretty useless, much like last season in the FA Cup when they couldn't beat League One teams.

Still, it's only pre-season so it's hard to judge. We'll get a better idea come next week.
 
If Wenger doesnt sign a centreback, frankly he's an idiot. It's pre-season but some of that was schoolboy. Squillaci, man alive

With Squil at 4th choice CB and Chamakh back-up for RVP, I'm seriously worried.

Hang on - judge him in May. If he doesn't sign a CB, and we have a **** season, I'll probably be behind you in that claim, but he could pull it off without signing a CB. No point sacking him so early IMO.

May? I think there may be issues come Jan, Have to wait and see.
 
IMO, if signing's are not made, I do not see Wenger here come the end of the season.
