Although I should respect him for that, I can't help but feel he's still treating this as if they deliberately let him go to Arsenal on what they saw as a long-term development loan. After all their club has said, I really cannot appreciate a word they say.

Rossell confirms the details of the deal - overall it's €39M, with only €29m coming straight away. Overall, that's £34m. LESS than they offered last season.

I doubt they would have sold him without arsene's approval, and it's not in arsene's nature to keep a player against his will. Come on, we all knew it was only a matter of time before we sold him, and we have told them to **** off a couple of times before. £34M + £5M = £39M. Personally I don't even feel like we've lost anybody. We've lost someone who's heart for at the very least past year has been away from our own club, the club he captains. And we didn't really rely on him individually this past season.
Whats done is done, getting angry won't change anything.
He best have some signings lined up.

Well they're prepared to meet the £20 million valuation Everton have placed on Jagielka-which is still I mistake imo. Speaking from a non-bias opinion (hard I know to believe lol), but like I've mentioned before I still think Cahill is a better option. Cheaper, and younger and can be just as great as Jags can-I rate him a **** of a lot. There's not much difference between them at all bar the experience factor. And he's also prepared to move for Shakthar's Jadson as well, so he's trying to replace Cesc already, and is realising the importance of a quality CB. And also the importance of this season too as if it goes wrong, it could cost him his job.
Precisely the reason we're not going for Cahill - not experienced enough, or not compared to Jags anyway. Not much cheaper either. Expect both to cost between 15-20m.
Eboue is a complete LAD, how can you not want him at your club?

Jagielkas good but he's not that much better than Kosc, and he's 28, think anymore than 10 million would be a mistake but we'll never get him at that price, not everyone's board is as clueless as ours unfortunately. Would prefer Cahill but again, not at 17 million. If we're to spend that much it HAS to be an improvement quality wise. Would like to have seen Bartley stay and provide the necessary depth.
We're selling Clichy for 7 million, buying a jagielka/cahill for 20? Selling Fab Cesc for 35 and buying Chamberlain for 15? The personnel are fine but theres something seriously wrong with those prices. Why are we letting our players go so cheaply, we're not a charity ffs.

To be fair - we generally have a good record when selling players... Hleb went for ACTUAL money. £15m was a decent amount in 2008. Same year that City smashed the Transfer Record for Robinho with £30m... Seems nothing nowadays.
Adebayor went for £25m.. Nasri could go for £20-5m.

In a normal market, I would expect to pay max. £15m for Jagielka tbh, but the inflation means £20m is probably more reasonable. I imagine if a deal is done, it will be between the two, most likely closer to £20m.
Especially when Phil Jones went for £16.5 million and he's no where near as experienced. On the other hand, will be an outstanding player. It's the price clubs have to pay now for English players.
Anyone notice how Moyes has become a lot more quieter about the situation too? Have a feeling something will happen this week, Friday at the latest.
