BBC confirm Arsenal are in talks to sign Gervinho, but:

For anyone that has a tendency to hate Wenger - you might want to skip the rest of this post:

Arsenal think Lille's valuation is 'crazy'. They've already rejected a bid of 12ME from Sp*rs.

Source: Very reliable David Ornstein on twitter (BBC Journo)

typical lol ;)

Hazard is going to be expensive and so is Gervinho but I think Arsene will get Gervinho because he's just that much cheaper.

if Cese goes to barca, he'll be a bench warmer for life.
lol at barca , no brains when it comes to transfers. i wonder what will happen to alleyy and bojon in two years if they still subs.

I've heard rumours that they will sell Xavi to Man City. Seems far fetched, but if they can rake in upwards of £50m (heard £80m!) for a player of his age, with their financial situation, it may be feasible. Also, there is the possibility that Xavi will want to join City for a massive wage to prepare for his retirement, he hasn't got many years left.

I know it's unlikely, and Xavi must be earning top whack at the minute anyway, and he is central to everything Barca, and he's a one man club....but it could happen, and Fabregas is the ideal replacement. They seem as though they will have to sell a big player in order to fund a move for Fabregas

as a fact, barca has only 40m pounds in tranfer budget this season.

thats why they had to cut players salary to obtian Ibrahmovic in 2009

We don't know that as a fact at all. They SAID that's all they had, as I said before, it's almost certainly BS.

For one, they don't have a strict budget. If the board doesn't have the cash, they take debt-free loans from the Catalan banks, or use non-existent money essentially and put themselves further in debt. They've spent 230ME in the last 3 years, their finances are dreadful etc.

2. Probably just to get Cesc to push it through at a cheaper price.

Why the **** did they get a free-kick? He did nothing wrong.

bad time to be an arsenal fan. no trophies since whenever, a squad which falls apart, and 2 of our key players wanting to leave. please sort this out Mr Wenger, please.

Indeed, **** knows how we're going to get by without Denilson and Bendtner.

...oh? You meant Fabregas and Nasri? My bad.

PS: I've not seen Gervinho so it's not my place to judge yet, but going for the cheaper option instead of getting the most quality (I assume Hazard is the superior player) is a pity.

No source, but looking over the internet, apparantly Navas is in London?
