IF Samir Nasri leaves (sold/leaves on free next season), what would the reaction be? Would it be humiliating for Arsenal, who show that they can't keep their best players/Wenger is too stubborn or would it be accepted because of the wages he's asking for?

And if he signs? What then? Is he forgiven for asking for (a reported) £110K/week? Or will he get abuse for holding the club to ransom?

i want to see ryo miyaichi play next season for us if he gets a work permit, he looks a quality player and a future star hopefully, he has been outstanding for ferynoord this season (since january when he went on loan)

TBH, I'm sick of it now, he is a great player but being a complete fool. If he leaves then I'll be happy, take the money add a few bob to it and re-invest in Hazard. But you never know with Wenger.

Well it's hardly him that's asking for money etc. Nowadays - at pretty much every club - agents drive the negotiations.

Also unlikely to invest the money in Hazard if we get Gervinho/Gervinho leaves to go somewhere. Lille have said they will be absolutely determined to keep hold of at least one of them, and they definitely can. Having said that, we could end our interest in Gervinho.

If i was Wenger i would never give him £110k a week. For a good half season he wants the same wages as our club captain who has been putting in consistant performances for the last couples of years.

He needs to be slapped with a fish.

I say we need to bend our wage bill rules. £110k per week is a lot but isn't uncommon these days. Nasri had half a good season, yes, but what's to say he won't do it again? He's still young, he's only going to get better, and we desperately need to keep him.

!!!!!!!! :D

Barcelona budget fund makes Cesc Fabregas move unlikely

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola will only have have 45 million euros to spend on players this summer.
Barcelona vice-president Javier Faus said the figure reflected a need to reduce the club's debt but added "we don't rule out investing more".
However, unless that were to happen, it makes a move for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas unlikely this summer.

The European champions could generate extra funds by offloading players such as Bojan, Maxwell and Jeffren.
If enough cash was made through sales, then the Barcelona-born Fabregas could still return to the Nou Camp, where he was a youth player, before the transfer window deadline in August.

Faus added: "The gross debt has been reduced from 532million euros to 483million euros, and the net debt from 431million euros to 364million euros.
"We want to decide our future and to do so we must reduce the debt to acceptable levels.
"This will make Barcelona the most financially solvent club in the world in two or three years."

Agree with this. At this point in time - with no trophy in 6 years - exceptions have to be made. We're making them in the market, and we need to do the same with Nasri imho. It's annoying because we all like to think no player is bigger than our club and we don't like to be held to ransom as it were over it, but the risk of Utd interest - regardless of whether it's agent/paper talk - should give us a kick up the ***.

Worst comes to worst, he signs a new deal and he doesn't perform as well as we hoped next season - we can sell him for more than we would now, or at least just as much.

And is that really worse than selling him cheap (and probably losing around £5m) and seeing him do really well for another club?

STOP INDENTING :P

Lies. As I said on the other thread - they're downplaying their budget in order to try and get Cesc to push for a move and knock the price down.

Hopefully he won't do it, but I've always said they don't have the cash to pay for him atm anyway. They have other targets like Sanchez, Rossi.

Hmm cant remember posting what you qouted? ;)

Samba -> Arsenal a real possibility, apparently. He's going to replace RvP up front. True story.

Seems appropriate to post this:

They are not as in serious financial problems as some people make them out to be. Recently signed the new kit sponsorship which gets them around 26million pounds a season I think. Add the ridiculous money they get for tv rights in Spain (completely unfair), think they earn 15 times more than Valencia do in that sense (may be completely wrong ;)) And if they keep on winning on the pitch that just adds more revenue. Add any further sponsorship details and other revenue. Of course their costs are high but as long as they keep winning on the pitch then they will carry on spending.

Announcement at 9 according to Nasri's agent, via twitter. Guess it is about contract renewal..

if your talking about Peter Morrison he is not nasri agent and has nothing to with him.

No. Not peter Morrision. He himself tweeted he has nothing to do with Nasri's situation. This i read in redcafe..

if he goes to man u i will be sooo angry. There is no way we can sell him to anyone in England or we might as well not turn up next season.

just got a 24hr day pass for Arsenal Player

looks good and i'm watching the season review of august-sept-october-november
