Harsh but true.

Emirates cup ad, with RVP representing Arsenal and other captains representing their respective teams.. Good indication that Fabregas will leave this summer? And btw this pic is from Arsenal official website.

RVP will be our new captian then, with vermaleen as vice Cap. ;) pretty sure

or maybe like ramsey stepping up soon

I doubt you'll see Palermo come alive - he retired a month ago, lol!

Martin Palermo, beanpole/goalscorer extraordinaire, club legend and team captain of Boca Juniors. Retired month before last. And he's on the poster, in the blue shirt, so it's a bit of a fail by SOMEone. :P

mate, if you're a Arsenal supporter i salute you for this fair assessment. i admire how well and mind-conscience you are.

Lol if this is true then Arsenal can't even get this right.. I think he will play this friendly cup. Just my guess so only they have put his pic..

That's either him, or the new captain (who, I confess, I have no clue about. Have they even appointed a new one? If not, one would assume it's the VC...) but if you were talking about Palermo playing the friendly cup I seriously doubt it, seeing as he's retired for good. Fabregas, OTOH... well you'd assume if they were certain he'd play it they'd put him on there.

EDIT: This can't be the captains. Hoarau isn't the captain of PSG, IIRC, it's just occurred to me. Armand is (I think) with Sakho his VC.

Arsenal fan said it is Riquelme. Ya PSG captain is Armand, thats what Wiki said..

Aren't they all strikers? Thats the only connection between the players I can think of.

It's today. Quite possible yesterday was Cahill - someone was definitely at Colney.
It would of been Bellerin.

This. ^^

Can't help it Joss. Looking likely with every passing day.. ;)

Not really to be fair. Umpteen different reports all suggest a different bid - if they don't go up to AT LEAST £40m (in add-ons by the looks of things), then we keep him. And if Nasri goes, we'll definitely not sell him. The truth is no one knows what talks are taking place apart from Arsenal and Barcelona. If they continue to offer derisory bids like the £27m one then we'll tell them where to go.

Not for that ridiculous bids, but I think Barca will up their offer and somehow find the solution. Also that Barca could have signed Rossi or Sanchez, but they have cooled their interest on Rossi (Which is as good as dead) and also Sanchez saga has died.. My guess is Fabregas is top target for Barca so they are committing on any deals as of now.. Just my guess. Sounds Idiotic, but with the financial problem they have, I think they will sign one big name and it will be Fabregas..

Hasn't the Sanchez thing gone quiet BECAUSE he's signing for Barca? And because City pulled out?

They may well up their bid to a proper offer but my point, as I'm sure you'll understand, is that at the moment we can't say whether anything is close because it's all just media speculation. The fact that almost everyone is coming out with a different story suggests no one knows the truth. Reliable Arsenal sources (like 'We Are The North Bank' who have solid Arsenal contacts and the main guy used to work with Sky) aren't even commenting.

If they make one big signing, I'd be surprised if it was Cesc. They don't need him, and they probably think that his value will have depreciated even further by the next window. With his apparently desperate urge to join them even stronger and them sorting out their financial situation one way or another (which may include one, or both of: Raking in the cash from a dodgy sponsorship deal or Getting a debt-free loan from the Catalan banks ;)) they'll probably be able to splash out more next window. FFP doesn't apply to them anyway =P

Ya I got what you meant, but signing Fabregas is more of a PR stunt rather that whether they need him or not. I wont be reading any website when Fabregas signs with Barca as its obvious it will be filled with Return of Prodigal son, bla bla bla..

My gut feeling is that somehow Barca will sign Fabregas in this window only..

As things stand I'm not bothered anymore if Fabregas is leaving, I just want Nasri to stay :)
