As things stand I'm not bothered anymore if Fabregas is leaving, I just want Nasri to stay :)

after man city gave up on Sanchez, now they want nasri. lol wtf is wrong with Man city, getting our players.

ade, ktoure, viera, and close enough for clichy. lol man city.

Seems like Real are entering chase ? Check out SkySports site...lads!

All it does is force the price up. They won't get him (thought I'd love for us to sell to them and not Barca)

In other non-Cesc related news (I know!) - Gervinho has been granted a work permit and should be announced on Monday. At least - that's when he's back from holiday.

barca, worst club to have a transfer deal done with

Manchester United make Arsenal formal bid Samir Nasri player tells Arsene Wenger wants out meeting Monday - Transfer News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Just saw that pop on the wire from the mirror as well, quite a strong chance he will stay if Wenger gives him assurances apparently.

so manu still wants wingers. the should think of a scholes replacement. XD

giggs, park, nani, valecia, young, and now nasri.

Hope Real put in a huge bid for Fabregas just to **** Barcelona off after all those years of them ******** around in the media.

I would love it if Wenger sold Fabregas to Real Madrid. Rosell's head would explode. Unlikely, but one can dream

Doesn't really have the passing range or vision of someone like Modric or Sneijder, though. Fair enough if he plays as a #10 or rotating on the RW with Valencia but I have my doubts he'd work in a Scholes-esque role. He wasn't played in Cesc's position at Arsenal for a reason.

Don't see any situation where we let go of both Cesc AND Nasri this summer tbh.

I've also learnt not to trust the Mirror one bit.. Darren Lewis and John Cross are meant to be reputable journalists yet all they seem to publish is the same article, slightly reworded, every day -- Cesc on the verge of leaving Arsenal / Nasri wants to leave -- without providing a single quote, or solid evidence and at the same time admitting that there's been no official 2nd bid for Fabregas.

They also say he's going to skip training on Monday. If he does - words won't be able to describe my anger at him tbh. He's a professional, and he'll need to behave like one throughout this saga.

More than capable of being a very good player there. Wasnt played there because Fab is better than. Also not really sure you have much of a choice re: Nasri if he doesnt want to sign. nasri would be used t drive into the midfield, playing 1-2s with the Wingers and Rooney

Well.. no. Nasri played there about 3 times. Wenger tried several other options before looking at him to fill that spot. Wilshere, Diaby, RvP were all picked to fill Cesc's position ahead of Nasri. Unfortunately, none of them worked to the same extent, just as Nasri didn't which emphasises our reliance on Fabregas or at least someone like him (Ramsey, who is clearly his long-term replacement).

He can drive from deep very well, but what I'm saying is that unlike Scholes, and every other player who has played the 'Scholes role' has had a significantly better passing range and vision than Nasri has.

He's a straightforward #10, or a wide-forward for me. I think he'd struggle if he had a more creative (assisting) role to fill. He picked up 3 assists all season and made only 0.3 through-balls/game (although 1.9 key passes/game). He also completed (on avg) only 1.2 long balls/game compared to Fabregas (3.1), Wilshere (3.1), Ramsey (3). **** - Even DENILSON made more long-balls per game (1.9)!

Compare those stats to Utd: Scholes made an avg of 8.4 long balls/game, Fletcher and Rooney made 4.6 and Carrick made 4.4. You can say that's just about the different philosophies of Wenger and SAF but there is more to it than that IMO. Rooney and Giggs also made more through balls/game (0.5/0.3) and both also made more KPpg (2.1/2.4 respectively).

Think those are some interesting stats ;)
