When did Lampard deny all the speculation? After he was offered £200,000/week to stay?

Also - the Sagna quotes come from the highly reputable NOTW. Pretty much guaranteed to be false or taken out of context. But again, everyone knows he wants to return to Barca, but while he hasn't denied it, he has respected Arsenal throughout the saga. He is not bigger than the club, and if Wenger thought he was, he would sell him. We're willing to sell him now, just not for £27m.

Not sure what's so difficult to understand really..

Or hacked. ^.^

Thats funny considering he is on 150grand a week.

Brilliant. You miss the point entirely and/or realise you're wrong so you pick me up on a little detail.

IT'S IRRELEVANT HOW MUCH HE GETS PAID. It was an example - he was close to joining Inter, he got offered cash, he stayed. It really is incredibly simple.

Good that main point is getting completely ignored.

I will post it once again..

Fabregas did nothing wrong to make anyone think that He is bigger than Arsenal. He has acted in a very respectful manner.. Wenger takes no **** from his players..

Brilliant - Myiachi makes Walcott look so weak:

I've never seen him play, just going by what others say. Jonathan Wilson said it was a pretty ridiculous price to pay and claimed the original deal was worth about £2m but the hype allowed Velez to up their asking price.

Very odd, though - reports came out last week that we both had offers accepted, and on twitter Alvarez (account confirmed as real by team-mates and journalists) said it would be his "dream" to play for Arsenal and he was "hoping to God he would be able to" so everyone naturally assumed Arsenal had a deal in place and then someone said Zanetti and the Argentinian contingent at Inter persuaded him to go there... But then it came out that we were playing silly buggers with the fee and wouldn't go above about £10m (could be less, I'm really confused!).

He is Inter fan.. This I found in Inter forum.

attachment.php

He told to Fox Sports:
"Inter is a dream for me"
"They can expect from me sacrifice and desire of victory"
"I'm happy because i know Inter is the right choice, i thanked God when everything got done"
"Thanks to Zanetti for his support, he's a good teammate and person"

Actually its bit messed up. Few are saying His dad was Inter fan not him.

"I am fulfilling a dream of my father, Carlos, who since he was a child has had a great admiration for Inter. Now he will come with me personally to meet the Nerazzurri

Have to say on Alvarez, the kid wanted Arsenal more than Inter but no way was he worth 11.7 million euros...

Only reason Inter paid that much was to use him as a make weight in a Pastore deal, if he was 19 then maybe it would be a reasonable fee for a wonderkid but at 23 Wenger wanted him for 5-6 million euros maximum and Velez upped the price when Zamparini publicly declared he lost out to Arsenal in signing him...Such a...

Every transfer this summer has involved Zamparini in some way shape or form, only reason Inter went in for Alvarez I believe is so they can ship him out to Palermo and get Pastore for 30 million euros. No doubt in my mind he would have been set for Arsenal for 3-5 million euros and even said himself on twitter that he would prefer to move to Arsenal god willing...

Not a huge miss to be honest, do wonders with Palermo next season mind.

As far as i can tell Inter havent moved for pastore, only reason they would do so is if they shift Sneidjer. Gasperini really likes Alvarez, not entirely sure why, but he sees him as really important

Just over the odds on the player, Morratti was given 'first option' on Pastore a few months ago according to Zamparini so I'm just sensing that's why they paid so much on Alvarez. Then again as you say Gaperini could have signed him rather than Morratti, and Inter have made a move to sign Genoa's Palacio in exchange for Pandev so the reasoning could be building an Argentine founded team with the rest made of of Brazilians it would seem...

From Gasperini's history Alvarez could be his typical signing but I would expect it at Genoa not Inter, Alvarez has so much hype now that if he plays for Inter and flops then people will just discard him as a talent in the same sort of way as what happened to young players like Keirrison/Kerlon who fail to live up to the tag for whatever reason. That's partly why I am so suspicious that this Alvarez buy was done to suite Zamparini and send the guy out on loan to Palermo and bring in Pastore for 30 but guess we'll have to wait and see.

Velez have a bit of money...Not quite enough for Tevez but a couple more sales and who knows :O

See, thats why I think its Gasperini, its his kind of player, but I can also see them doing a merry go round for Sneijder, and free up wages, which they need to do

If Tevez comes to Argentina it'll be to play for Boca and that's it. Velez are arguably the best team in Argentina, though, and they can certainly attract good players with that cash, should they need to.
