Yes its all speculation. If Wenger is confident then it is worth a risk but its a big risk IMO..

As I said - it works out for all parties. If he's intent on saving some face, and doesn't care about the cash - he looks like less of a **** if he signs a new contract, and gets sold next season. Arsenal get more money than they would this season, he still gets his move, Arsenal fans are less pissy about it. Just a suggestion.

Three syllables so maybe a "Vieira... Woaaah" one?

"He comes from Ivory Coast - he'll probably hit the post" // "He comes from Cote D'Ivoire, he'll probably hit the bar" // "He comes from Cote D'Ivoire, he'll probably steal your car" are some of the ones that twitter (inc. me) has come up with so far..

and what if he has a poor season and his value drops or to be more clear, clubs do not want to pay the 20-30m being quoted currently... I say if he has his heart set on a move, sell him off and maximise every penny out of the deal

Or No clubs wants to match what Arsenal wants (If he signs next season) and end up staying at Arsenal. Like I said If he signs new contract its for long term. Its like people speculated when Rooney signed new contract that "He signed contract as we can sell him for higher price" but the fact was he signed as he wants to stay and club wanted him to stay..

No offence bru but you know your last chirp was a tiny bit of a a generalisation and could be considered offensive....


but great player fits the style... can replace nasri:p

I understand its a joke but to be fair most Russian fans thought it was funny and a joke when hey threw a banana at Roberto carlos....

Well to be fair - huge difference between Spain/Russia where there are a lot of people who are genuinely racist, and WANT to offend players with worse chants than the sort of casual generalisation which is largely accepted as a joke in England. It's meant in an endearing way, rather than anything offensive.

No one's going to through a banana at him, or force him out of the club.
 
any news on a squad number for Gervinho, might get him on the back of the new home shirt.
