Jesus. Do Barca ever shut the **** up? You've got your player, well done. Now **** off.

'Never said I was leaving with bitterness'

Great way of practically confiriming your on your way then. You are going to leave, you just won't be bitter about it then.
Or it could just be a error on his part. I'm guessing not though.

#LFC will face an Arsenal side with only three days of rest and without Gervinho, Song, Wilshere, Diaby, Eboue, Nasri and Fabregas.

Add Djourou and Gibbs to it. Is it confirmed that Wilshere is out for the game?

Didn't think it was. Despite all those injuries/suspensions I reckon we'll be alright. Could do with adding a LB but doubt that will happen before the Liverpool game.

No. Wenger hasn't spoken to the media re: last night so not sure where they've got that from. I expect him to be back.

gibbs and djourou are expected to miss the liverpool match arsenal tweeted it last night

however having been at the newcastle match and watched the udinese match on tv I have to say defensively we are looking very strong, vermaelen and koscielny look as one most of the time. gervinho hasn't completed a pass yet, and it appears like we need a top attacking player..... also walcott should be up front

What?

And a top attacking player like... Van Persie, Walcott, Gervinho, Arshavin...?

Slight exaggeration i think. Gervinho was poor in the final third. Maybe he wanted to stress on that.

I was impressed with Gervinho's movemet, just needs to make that final pass. Very early days but you can see why he is so highly rated..

Only Van Persie would be classed as a top attacking player really. All the rest are just very good/good.

gervinho's movement was decent, certainly better last night, was frustrating at st james' he was constantly stopping the play and slowing it down and like arshavin looked disinterested for most of the game. arshavin is rated far higher than he should be simply for the 4 goals against liverpool. he has looked better recently and should be employed in a more central attacking midfield role. they are good players however not one of them has been injury free in the past year. Need someone willing to shoot on sight, and to strengthen the names you mentioned joss. I never discounted the players we already have but need to create competition for space, and we are lacking an out and out striker

I thought Gervinho was better last night than he was against Newcastle. Putting slight dodginess in final 3rd down to nerves tbh - he was excellent in pre-season, and I think we'll see that Gervinho very soon personally. Bear in mind he could have had a penalty, and almost set up Walcott for 2-0, but the 'keeper made a great save.

The team are still blending without Cesc and with new signings like Gervinho. Vermaelen and Kos have played together about 3 times competitively, Rosicky and Ramsey have hardly played with each other before this season, Gervinho's a new signing, Walcott only just back from injury, Chamakh short on confidence.

Thought we did OK in the circumstances.

I agree wholly, we did well, at no point have I been worried over the past two games that we were going to concede, Mr wenger has obviously spent the time working on verm and kos' partnership and teams defensive play on the whole.

We can cope without cesc and nasri, but with vela gone for the season, bendtner expected to go. are attacking options is limited chamakh has one goal (maybe) since the end of last november. RVP has never played over half a campaign, walcott isn't getting played in his favoured position and I believe Arshavin isn't playing in his best position and gervinho is unproven in the premiership, but was hardly prolific in the french league.

Don't get me wrong, I love arsenal, always will. I go see several matches a season and have only missed watching the entire match once in the past year and a half. If for no other reason than psychologically we need to at least two players, they don't need to be marquee players I think we have them, we need proven, reliable and intimidating players. We are not viewed as a major threat and being the underdog is not the way we should be viewed

Any news on Gibbs injury?

Joss whom will you play in defense?

Sagna Kos vermaelen Jenkinson

Or

Sagna Kos Squillaci Vermaelen

squillaci shouldn't be allowed to wear the shirt, jenkinson would be my choice, but with sagna at left

ignasi miguel? is he staying, the reserve captain. Stick song back he's played before and start frimpong in mid he looks quality

sagna was originally bought as a replacement for cole and was expected to go to left back after djourou went off last night
