He was deserving of more than a few Ballon d’Or’s IMHO. From the 2001 Owen Cup Final loss through to the invincible season, NOBODY on the planet was on his level.

But he never ‘played the game’ so was regularly overlooked for individual honours.

White going for 50mil. A bit of Bielsa magic dust and lad is worth so much.

There is amazing defender in him love him for bits in his days with us, but will see if Arteta can use him right. Feel like he is horrible man manager.
English tax is high on this one as I dont think he has proven to be that expensive yet. Still a bit exited for him and interesting to see him stepping up, would have loved him for us, but for that money we got two defenders and Raphina, so I am good.
 
We shall see with Arteta, he's gotta have something going for him if club still trusts him so much even though his record is literally 0 professional accomplishments of any kind. Perhaps he's a Pele of PowerPoint.

Terrible move for White and a ridiculous fee for Arsenal IMHO.

But hey, if Brighton now want to turn around and make an equally crazy move for Phillips, who doesn't fit what Potter does in any way, shape or form, then we'll gladly take £15-20 million off them.
