I dont think ill be able to get narsingh and krasic as they moved to new clubs over the summer. Ill try all the suggestions. Have you been able to navas,ben arfa/ james rod e.t.c for around 8m in you're experience ?

no, not on the LFC update...

But I think Navas has been dumbed down a bit so you could pick him up cheaply.. my brain is a bit slow today, had a big weekend

Hey Raikaan, i was wondering if you have a possesion formation that can be suited to Juventus, i want to play 3 at the back with two CB's and a Libero and was wondering if you have any tactics that either have a flat back three or any tactics with a Libero/Sweeper ?

Hi Raikaan. Hope you are well. Long time listner first time caller. I have 2 questions both to do with my defence if you could help me out please.

1. I am playing 4 at the back with 2 cb's in a stopper/cover partnership and the 2 fullbacks set on support. At the moment the CB's are on the default of man marking and the FB's on zonal marking. Would I be better served if i swapped them (i.e. FB''s man marking CB's Zonal)?

2. I am conceding a lot of goals from coners. Usually I have my team focus on either defensive posioning or attacking movement. If I changed this to defending set peices would I then not get the edge in either attacking movment or defensive positioning I ususally get? hey bud lol at intro

1) cb's set to zonal and no tight marking, they get burned far to often closing down tightly!
fb's set to man marking and tight marking to ensure they track the players back, even when the opp wide players cut inside! that is one of my main settings on all my tactics always use it!

2) to be honest, I never, ever use attacking/defending set pieces match prep.. but if your settings for your set pieces are wrong, no amount of prep will sort it out! you need to go into the instructions and make changes.. see where you are conceding the goals from? Is it mostly front post or back post etc and make the changes where necessary..

I have been trying to make a good possesion tactic with three CB's that is similar to how Juventus and Italy play consisting of a Libero and 2 CB's with a DLP playing inbetween the Midfield and Defence as the image shows below. However i have a few problems with the majority of the tactics i use with three central defenders.

Firstly, my players keep the ball for a few short passes and then stupidly hit the ball long which 9.9/10 times will go straight out or to the GK. Secondly, i cant get the Libero to join the Midfield at all, i have set him to Attacking with runs from deep often but he just sits at the back for the whole game which is annoying to say the least lol

This is how the tactic looks and i have also attached the tactic itself and i was wondering if get the time could you have a look over the tactic for me and make some adjustments to the player roles as i am currently with 3 CM's all set on support and need help finding the correct roles for the players and then could you upload the tactic in a reply please mate as i love your tactics and know you can really help me

Just wondering. I spend a lot of FM starting off in the lowest of low leagues (level 14 when I can) and 13 will be no exception. I've been considering uploading a tactic that works for lower level clubs for FM13. What length of time should I test it before uploading?

hey ajt, I believe that tactics made within the first year and pushing at most the 3rd season are a good indicator for how good a tactic is..

if it works in your first season and you do really well with it, see how it handles the next level of competition and take it from there..

however, one season is a good indicator for me

anything over 5 years is a waste of everyone's time (well depending on where you start) so these people who upload a wonder tactic for their Liverpool or Tottenham squads in 2023 are not a fair indication..

I see, gotcha. May be worth sharing the tactic as it's been very successful in my saves (usually from the first season onwards and works up to a couple of divisions higher max). Plus in a way it's another FM challenge for me to undertake lol

Aye I will. Just need the game now to start working. Pointless doing it iny current save because a) FM 13 and b) too far forward now.

Tried Everton-drew 1-1 with the reserves, and drew against FSV Frankfurt 0-0. This is definately a lot more challenging lol.
