Ok it was obvious that Gotze, Muller and Ozil didn't have very specific roles during the match with Portugal..
All three of them were very free to roam around, swap positions between themselves, fill the appropriate channels when opportunity arose and generally do whatever the f*** they wanted.. :P
My questions is, how does one replicate that in fm?
That free flowing, full of creativity kind of partnership the three of them have..
Although I believe it would be practically imposible, I thought I'd give a shot by asking here..
Any ideas?

Use "Roam from position" in all 3 players, "swap sides" in the wing players, give the central player the F9 role and move into channels and the wing players the cut inside.

Well the truth is they all swapped positions, not just the wing players..
There were times when Gotze was really central, Muller on the right and Ozil centrally behind them..
FM should really integrate swap triangles into the game..
They are becoming very frequent in modern day football..

Yep ur right m8, but i think the only way to replicate that "trio" is with those instructions and some fluid mentality, about the integration, i share you opinion, lets see if SI are going to do their job !! ;)

Only way you can replicate it is changing the players positions at the tactics screen and that will only work if the opp are marking the specific player, NOT the position. You're only really changing the player in the position but not the position itself and so you're just relying on that player to be playing a different style to the one previous ie. one winger might be more technical and skillful whereas the other might be very quick...this would work in the game as the defender would have to adjust to the different styles when they swap. What might be a more interesting way forward is having a solid defensive tactic and then 3 different tactics where the positions change in attack and switch between the 3. I feel that would be a really interesting idea on this game.
