This is based on players I have watched.....
Past....Zindane & Bergkamp
Present.....C. Ronaldo & Messi
 
GK - Kahn/Yashin
DEF - Beckenbauer
MID - Zidane/Neeskens
ATT - Pelé/Cruyff/Puskas
 
Garrincha or Pele just because of the way they influenced the great Brazilian team.

Present has to be Xavi the way he controls play is outstanding.
 
Maradona, Bochini, Pele, Zidane, Cruyff, etc...though the only one I was around to see play was Zidane. Right now it's Messi, though Ronaldo is very close.
 
Past: Maldini, remarkable defender, Giggs, mesmerising, and loads of others who were better or worse but the honour goes to Maradona. The man who won a country a world cup single handedly
Present: Messi hands down- 43 goals and we're only in March
 
the best player ive ever seen play was thierry henry although i havnt been able to get tickets for a game since last years Barca , Arsenal clash wich had a pretty decent performance by clichy

He didn't "lose track of it" he had hypothyroidism.
