Very nice.

You can doubt but you'd be wrong. **** like this is always double-edged sword - maybe Mourinho managed to unsettle Wayne a little, but you can bet Torrers, Ba and Lukaku weren't thrilled about the whole saga either.

Difference being, United have RVP, Chicharito, Kagawa and Welbeck , who are more then capable for taking over Wayne as either AMC or striker. In the meantime you are stuck with three mediocre strikers who are now ****** off.

So if we're keeping a score...yeah.

One of them so called mediocre strikers scored 3 goals against Utd last season and 17 over all in this league playing with worse players and is only 20 ****** years old!!!

In this Rooney thing no-one has won and you could say Utd have lost only for a little while because Rooney will stay at Utd and will be all smiles and the whole of Old Trafford will be singing "Rooonnneeyyyy" by the end of September.

If anything Ba, Torres and Lukaku have won in this saga because it won't happen and it's becoming likely that we won't sign another striker so they will get more minutes.

When players want out at clubs or are unhappy it doesn't effect teams as much as people say it does. Other players will just have "banter" with them say if Rooney skies one in training someone may say "yeah because Chelsea want that" and it will be laughed about. It's the fans who take this much poorer than anyone else in the situation and personally if one of Chelsea's players want to leave then i say okay thanks, see ya. And personally i thought Utd would have done the same in this situation and i agree with what Roy Keane said on Sunday about the situation, if he want's out then your better off without him.

The point is that we don't want to sell him to Chelsea. If it was a foreign team he'd be gone.

Its about where he goes.

Put it this way, would you sell an unsettled Mata to United, knowing what he could do on form?

Anyways if United are dead serious about not selling him to us, it's a huge blow. We need a top class striker if we want to win the title ... Maybe put in a cheeky bid for Ibra? Hahaha

I've always been an admirer of Adrian at Atletico. Whether he would go to Chelsea or not I am not sure. Also I don't think Eto'o we have heard the last of. Even reports of United having interest in him (how true these are are yet to be seen).

De Rossi's having a good moan about Italian football being behind the other leagues, said he'd only move to a foreign club as he respects Roma.
Sign him and his one long sleeve Jose.

Oh i agree it won't go ahead but i personally don't think it matter who you sell him too. If a club wants him and he wants to go to that club and that club will pay the cash then it shouldn't matter. Would Utd get over selling Rooney to Chelsea if they did? Course they would they are Man Utd not Rooney Utd. Agree with what Keane said on sunday like i said and i never agree with Keane, sometimes you have to lose to win.

I wouldn't mind selling Rooney to you guys....... if you paid £50m OR exchange for Mata. :P

Bollocks lol, if Mata is included in the deal then you will/should be handing cash to us lol. Stupidly i'd probably pay 40 million for Rooney but i know Chelsea won't.

Although I'm a United fan, I think the best thing for Chelsea honestly is to stick with the strikers you have and give Lukaku a good go this season. I think you will get a good amount of goals behind the striker as well so it may not put a lot of pressure onto them. (However I still can't see Torres coming good).

Oh i wrote Torres off 12-18 months ago mate, he is what he is and we will accept him. I kind of agree with giving the lads we got a chance but if it doesn't work by January we are out the title race so its a gamble. Although i think Lukaku could adapt quickly there is still a chance he may not.

Surely there will be sufficient goals coming from Lukaku, Torres and Ba combined!?

I don't get peoples' obsession with Adrian Lopez, either. He's scored something like 10 goals off 70 apps in the last two years. I don't watch him often, but there's got to be something off with those figures.

I blame Fifa and UT.

De Rossi would be awesome. I wonder what happened to that saga as we were quite heavily linked at one point in time. And in terms of strikers, there are really not many better options out there than Rooney

That's because he for the majority of the time plays as a secondary striker kind of role, we all know who the main one was. So his goals is not the only part of his role, they certainly didn't lack goals as a team last season. But I'd like to see him given a run as the main man.

Thing is though, it isn't only last term. I looked up his figures and he's scored 50 goals in his entire career, in 288 appearances. That's pitiful. I don't watch him often, so I can't say, but it looks a little fishy on the face of it.

That kind of stat makes Torres seem better! Adrian > Torres any day of the week though! Unless by some miracle Torres can find his old self (which I think is not even possible anymore).
