TOOOOORRREEESSS! Was like the barca goal all over again the way i celebrated haha shocking from the defender and hart but who cares get in!

Deserved win in the end. We were fortunate that Hart made a howler but that Aguero goal was pretty bad keeping aswell (to be fair, it was a clever finish from Aguero but you can't get beaten like that) so fair play all in all.

What was a little odd was the complete lack of Mata, when we were looking for that final ball and everyone was just playing it too heavy or too wide, surely the game was calling out for Mata? I don't mind the idea of Jose making the best use of his squad and using players that fit each situation (aka starting Oscar in a game like that where you want to pressure Fernandinho) but then why not bring him on when you're lacking that final ball and really want to get a win? Weird.

lol torres wants to be a winger/assister from now on!
He's actually a decent playmaker when he's on form, but I really don't see him playing well as an out-and-out striker anymore - I don't see why Mourinho's starting him up front. If Mourinho wanted an out-and-out striker, Eto'o would be a better choice; or, he could make use of his attacking midfielders and play someone like Sch?rrle/Willian up front (I know he's done this before) - like Spain did with Fabregas at Euro 2012.

I wont be surprised if fans start singing to Hazard 'You're just **** Ashley Young'.
Except Hazard is leaps and bounds ahead of Ashley Young, in-form or not. They're both off-form at the moment, in my opinion, but Hazard >>>>>>>>>>> Young.

Yeah, it was terrible defending from Nastasić - it's such a shame for City to concede in the last minute!

Because Jose is such a big fan of playing people out of position.... Torres is a number 9, we like it or not. And today he worked hard, so today he should be praised. I'm sure the day I will be mad at him won't be in the distant future.

Credit where credit is due, Torres put in a great performance tonight. This is the Torres everyone is craving to see. Hopefully he keeps that up now. Plus Mourinho going into the crowd after the winner, loved it. That's passion for you

He went for his son I believe, but yeah, it was lovely to see.

Speaking of Hazard being "off form" and a new Ashley young ATM he still has 4 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 Chelsea appearances. Not too bad is it?

Because he's putting in the sort of performances Mourinho loves: hardworking, high tempo all game long, never gives up. With Torres and Oscar in the team we can press pretty well high up the pitch and disrupt the balls coming out from the back. He's also doing a pretty admirable job holding the ball up and playing it through. He was excellent in the air today, and really pulled the centre backs about with his movement in the channels. He's also in form and was looking full of confidence at the end of the game today, directing other players and looking to have the ball played to him as much as possible. That's a pretty big list of reasons and I'm sure there's more.

Why?

Spain were able to do this because they were used to it and it suited their style though. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we might be able to pull out a strikerless system for certain situations, but in this league and with this manager we'd never employ it enough to make it consistent. Pretty much everyone that has made that tactic successful has been able to do so because of the circumstance they employed it in or because they have players with exceptional skill and understanding.

I'm sorry, but Young still dives better than Hazard. But if he continue practicing, he will be as good as our best performer.

Anyway, I'll try to be more direct in the future with my comments. No, I wont. I love it.

And how the **** is Nastasic fault to Chelsea 2 goal? As soon as you Brits get Hart is completly off form, the better. He's playing bad for quite some time now.

Sorry, 'off-form' is the wrong word - basically, I think Oscar's been a better player so far this season than him, despite the fact that Hazard has more quality. That's not to say Hazard hasn't done well, though, mind.

He's quite hardworking, I'll grant you that, but I'd say he'd be more suited being played behind another striker or on the wing since he doesn't really seem to be a class poacher anymore (yes, people are going to mention the goals he's scored this season, but he's just not what he used to be). Eto'o will pose more direct threat to defences, in my opinion, once he adapts to the English game. And on the topic of the 'strikerless' formation, I think Sch?rrle would be a good striker - he's got the pace for it and although it can still be improved massively, his finishing isn't bad.

Nastasić's header was indecisive - if it was a backpass, then it was stupid - Hart was going towards the ball; if it was a clearance for a corner, it was too weak. Maybe Hart wasn't vocal enough with his defence, but Nastasić made an error in the build-up to the goal, and in my opinion, it was the main one.

I'd blame Hart for that, was clearly playing it back to Hart who must have not been loud enough when giving the shout. Still though, Hart couldn't have done much so him running out was idiotic, Torres was never going to get to the ball first and the ball wasn't coming in quick enough for Hart to just take it.

Had no time to post my thoughts as i had to start work at 6, the game finished around 5:50 i spent 5 minutes on the phone shouting down the phone to my Dad left for work around 5:56 and got there riding on my bike for 6 on nothing but pure adrenaline!

Pre-match i was a little worried with the midfield 2 we put out and felt we could get bullied by City's but no. Why on earth did Pellagrini push Toure further forward, me, my dog and my local newsagent know that he is better coming from deep! But that aside i thought we did not get bullied and everyone worked brilliantly defensively.

The positive thing is that this may be the first time that Torres has turned something negative (the poor miss) into something absolutely sensational! From that miss on wards he was possessed and from the 2nd half at Spurs he has looked un-real. Man of the match yet again today by a country mile.

In my opinion which i believe to be less blue tinted as some because i value the game football in general higher than Chelsea itself i believe we fully deserved the 3 points. We bossed the majority of the game and had by far the better chances. Everyone was brilliant today, i could not fault one single player.

The one thing i will leave on is this, some of you and you know who you are suggested that we would be "boring" under Jose like last time. Thoughts now?

UTC!!!!!

One massive difference, Hazard did get caught. A little yes but he did receive contact.

Liverpoolesque post when they defended Suarez's diving. Contact or not, going down easily is diving.

Going by this non sense logic even Young's is not dive when Moyes pointed him in the post match. He left his trailing leg and received contact.

Hazard didn't leave a leg thought, his reaction didn't get him the penalty. By the letter of the law that was a penalty because there was contact made by the defender.

It's scary to think that our team tomorrow night if we made 11 changes could be Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Kalas, Bertrand, Essien, Mikel, De Bruyne, Mata, Willian and Eto'o. We definitely have the best strength in depth in this division.
