Good game for Mata, definitely looked the most dangerous out of the 3. Ramires was everywhere, hopefully we're going to see those 2 get back to their best soon.

Can I put in a word for Azpilicueta? Absolutely immense ... if he keeps this up, he will definitely be on the plane to Brazil next summer

Lukaku did well in the games he started for West Brom, he was far from an impact sub.

I never said he wasn't great from the start of games, but a lot of his amazing performances were from the bench.

Much better in the second half! Demba ba was fantastic when he came on and for me now deserves a few starts in a row

My Tweet 2 days before the game: @jacko_cfc 28 Nov: Starting to think Ba should start on Sunday #CFC

I just knew his style would effect Saints.

Could only watch the first 20 minutes as i had to go to work but what i saw was not great but something which was predictable. I was glad to see Essien back but did question his inclusion today as Saints press so much in the midfield i felt he may struggle and unfortunately today he did.

Just got round to watching the highlights and i think there is a lot to be positive about, trying not to blow my own trumpet i did state a few days ago that i felt Ba should play as i believed his playing style would cause Saints problems and it did. From the highlights i saw it seemed as if Torres and Ba linked up quite well together which is promising. Nothing better than a side who can play multiple formations and already this season we have played 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2 and now 4-4-2 and getting positive results with them all.

Also it was good to see Mata start today and i tweeted before the game he has a chance to make himself undroppable again today and to come away with an assist and 90 minutes under his belt he definitely went a long way to doing that. Just think, we are going into a busy period now where we will play 8 games in 25 days with a fully rested Juan Mata!

All in all a very good weekend for us with Utd, Spurs and Liverpool all dropping points. We are meant to be in "crisis" and things not going too well yet we are 2nd in the league just 4 points off the top, just shows how far this club has come.

UTC!

AVB is really clueless on how to handle the media isn't he?
He went for the good ol' 'no comment', which isn't too bad an approach, but it's just he seemed a bit edgy throughout the interview. I don't blame him, though, he knows he's probably about to be sacked!

Did you see his latest post-match conference? He went on the attack basically demanding 'respect' for his achievements. What exactly are they again? Winning the treble in a mediocre league with little to no competiton with Falcao/Hulk... Hardcore

Tune was lot different when AVB was appointed as Chelsea manager. You were singing praises of him, showering him with praises for winning Treble with Porto and taking some bottom team to 11th place in 6 months along with cup semi finals.

As gay as this sounds, I was infatuated with him as was most of the English football media. Young and stylish manager coming in off the back of a European cup winning campaign to rejuvenate an ageing chelsea side. Former protege of Chelsea legend Mourinho ... If you recall correctly, many articles posted on here predicting he will be a success

I know how he was next only to Jesus for many, all I'm saying is if achievements were impressive back then (Treble with Porto) then it's impressive now too. Nothing could change what he did with Porto.

To be honest, he does deserve respect for the treble - it's not as easy as it seems (even Celtic didn't manage to win the treble last year, and they had much less competition than Porto a few years back, in a much easier league). However, demanding respect isn't going to get him anywhere, he just needs to take it on the chin, as Sam Allardyce said.

Young, handsome, rich as ****, married to former miss Portugal? Yeah somehow I don't feel so bad about AVB's recent lack of success

.

They are impressive but it was vastly exaggerated back then with everyone calling him a tactical genius and all before getting out of his comfort zone displayed all his shortcomings. Poor media handling skills for starters

Courtois just named as La Liga's best goalkeeper... It's time we brought the kid in next summer. Sell Cech off while he still commands some value.... Courtois is ready and he isn't going to stick around to play second fiddle for much longer

Reallly hope he is made our number one keeper soon! Why do I get the feeling though the club would rather stick with cech and courtois will end up staying in Spain permenantly :/

At the start of the season i was fully in Cech's corner but have now changed my mind. I think Jose has a massive call next summer and personally think its time to get Courtois in.

Cech is still a good keeper and I still adore him and he still has about 6-8 years left in him but courtois has atleast 15+ years ahead of him and is already as good if not now better than petr cech and at only the age of 20-21 we are still yet to see courtois at his best. In a press conference a few months back he called courtois the best young keeper in the world so I really hope he is in Jose's plans for the near future.
