PSG is tough but not impossible. Hazard on his day can make them look like U16s. Could've been Bayern or Real. So, I'm happy with this one.

Must say i see a lot of people happy about this draw but do not underestimate this side! I said i wouldn't be worried who we got because i believe over 2 legs we can beat anyone and its true we could have had a harder draw but PSG are no mugs at all!

I'd arguably say they have a better midfield than us on paper in Motta, Verratti and Matuidi and just slightly a better attack line in Lavezzi, Cavani and Ibrahimovic and they can also call on Lucas Moura if need be.

However with the exception of Thiago Silva i'd say they are a little vulnerable at the back and can be got at and and we also have the experience as a club at this level so all in all i'd say its 51/49% in our favour especially with us being away for the 1st leg.

As i said do not underestimate this side, this is a side who came close to knocking Barca out last season with a 176 year old David Beckham in the side! Having said all that i do fancy us to get through to the semi's which for this side is just sensational.

UTC!

I think our best bid is that they haven't played against tough competition this season. Their back line isn't used to dealing with the likes of Hazard except Silva. If we keep things tight at the back and don't get thrashed in away leg, we will have a good chance of winning at home.

Tough draw, would've preferred Barca
Any one of the Tiki Taka teams that play high line, tbh. We are solid at the back and deadly on the counter. Team to avoid was RM and we did. BVB have lost half of their squad since the last time they beat Real, some to injuries, suspension for first leg and transfers.

Lol, like it's going to stop him one bit. He is going to stand up for his players, regardless.
That doesn't mean the FA shouldn't try, though. It's like the old arguments about doctors and how people are going to die anyway.

Plastic! Are you being serious! How embarrassing of you to say that!

Mourinho was on the pitch at the same time as Lambert, Agbonlahor (who grabbed Ramires round the neck), Holland and many many more. He asked the ref whilst on the pitch if he could have 5 seconds with him and he sent him off for "being on the pitch"! No-one is saying Jose is in the right here he shouldn't have been on the pitch but like Lambert and other playing staff he was on the pitch because he was protecting his players and stopping it from boiling over. But Jose done exactly the same as what others did so if Jose was to be punished then so should have everyone else who entered the pitch! How the **** does that make anyone "plastic"! I feel for you i really do.
As much as I agree with the point about Paul Lambert and Agbonlahor, I don't think you should take Mourinho's words as gospel. He probably expressed his anger with the referee, whether or not his punishment is justified just depends on how he expressed it. And Agbonlahor's reaction is justified, to be honest, Ramires's challenge was absolutely horrendous.

Wouldn't even bother argueing mate his a Liverpool fan they all love using the words plastic and history when it comes to talking about Chelsea.
Actually, I believe most of our fans call you Chavs. :P

Cech > Sirigu
Terry and Cahill = Thiago Silva and Marquinhos
Ivanovic and Azpilicueta >> van der Wiel and Maxwell
Matic and Lampard = Motta and Matuidi
Hazard, Oscar and Willian > Pastore and Moura
Eto'o << Ibrahimovic and Cavani

On paper, it looks a close call, so I think it'll be an interesting match to watch as a neutral. I just hope Mourinho doesn't park the bus.

Ramires tackle was horrendous and I do not want that in football, but if you watch the replay again and again, it's evident he was running with the ball and it was not intentional, or at least that's what I'd like to think.

If club, however does feel that had even a little bit of frustration in it, I'll be expecting a fine for Ramires as well. But I don't think that still justified Agbonlahor coming off the bench to grab Ramires by the throat? He could appeal to ref from technical area.

Marquinhos has been average and error prone this season according to my friends who watch League 1. Alex might start over him.

And Cahill-Terry is immense, there's no way the partnership can be matched by the pair of PSG's two, they might be better individually, which I don't think Marquinhos is, yet.

PSG will be very difficult. Cavani and Ibra are a match for any defender in the world, their worry is on their full backs. Maxwell and Van Der Wiel aren't great.

I'm just reading that Roman is not exempt from any further sanctions being imposed on Russians in this Crimea/Ukraine mess. Wonder how that would affect things in the club

Dont think it should affect the club much tbh ... Plus it's hardly like the sanctions will be there for too long. Rather tame response from the West to sanction a few ogliarchs after the Russian annexation of the peninsula. Another bit of hypocrisy

PSG have a mean defensive record at home. And they are a fearsome duo. Certainly a more complete one than Chelsea's duo.

Well i think the camera caught most of the incident and Jose showed no anger and has not done all season to be fair to him. I can understand Agbonlahor's reaction totally but my main gripe is that Jose was the only one to be punished. I just think Foy cracked and got so wound up with Chelsea in general and lost control of the situation and he was the unprofessional one and the Premier League are just backing their ref as they always do whether right or wrong. If leaving your technical area is a red card offence then Jose totally deserves his fine etc but it should have been across the board.

On the PSG-Chelsea team comparison don't forget that Matic is cup tied so for me PSG have the better midfield because of that.

I personally don't see it being a problem. People tend to forget that we are no longer relying on Roman's money and are self sustainable. Yes he is Russian and is our owner but Chelsea FC is an English company so i don't see it effecting Chelsea at all.

Carl he got a red because it was the second time he crossed the technical area and was on the pitch. He can have no complaints whatsoever. It's not about him showing anger. Foy handled that exactly right, and in fact more refs should do the same. Stay in your area and definitely stay off the pitch.
