Im sure Pogba is in talks for a new contract, cant see that one happening for anything less than 65-80m.

Sold: Luiz (£50M) Lukaku (£28M) = £78m
Bought: Fabregas (£27M) Costa (£30M) Luis (£16M) Drogba (Free) = £73m
So we still have £150m to spend. Yeah.
Javier Hernandez anyone? I mean he does love a goal at Stamford bridgehighly doubt utd would sell him to us but I would love him at the club tbh
60-65 is good80 is not.

I remember when FFP was announced, everyone was slagging Chelsea off saying the days of heavy spending are over. I think it's wonderful to see how Roman has managed to beat everyone to the punch without sacrificing success on the pitch
Look at Diego Costa. He was sent out on loan countless times by Atletico Madrid who never believed in his ability. **** he was even sold at one point in time so that they could get Asenjo. He was constantly overlooked for a starting role whenever Atletico Madrid inevitably sold their star striker before replacing him with someone from outside despite him scoring goals and showing obvious ability
Did he give countless interviews demanding a starting role? No
Did he cry and demand a loan when Atletico spent big money getting the best striker in the world Falcao instead of giving him a chance? No ... This was inspire of him banging in goals for Rayo that very season before Atletico bought Falcao
He kept his head down, worked incredibly hard and compete with Falcao. He proved himself on the pitch. When the opportunity came, he grabbed it with both hands and led his team to the title. Mourinho said that Costa has had to work very hard for everything he has achieved in his life and it's clear. The guy is a born winner. Very happy to have him in the squad
Dont get me wrong, Lukaku is right in his own way. I just think it's interesting to see difference in the way Costa and Lukaku have approached their careers
Just watched the game and was a good test against a step up in opposition. Main things to take from this game for me was first of all Costa involved in all 3 goals including 2 assists. Some may say "why not shoot" but our problem was putting the ball in the back of the net last season so doesn't matter if its Costa who scores or if he puts it on a plate for someone else who scores as long as they score. The main thing from the goals was Costa's runs in behind which is something we have lacked for a while. I felt the defence did their job well, we limited Vitesse to mainly long range strikes which Cech will have every day of the week. Also loved Baker's little 10 minute cameo, chased down everything, won the ball back numerous times and played some excellent passes, the young lad is showing he is a cut above the rest of the academy lads and deserves to be around the first team.

Now on Lukaku i would have loved to have seen him make something of himself as Chelsea but i'm not annoyed to see him leave. He is a man who runs his mouth off, shows he will throw his toys out the pram and does not want to compete to be number 1. I have also been saying for some time now that you have to question why no other "top tier" sides where interested in him, Everton are a good side but 5th is the limit for them. 28 million for a player who could have potentially upset the squad harmony, never done anything for the side for us to miss and only had 2 years left on his current contract. I say another top deal from the club this summer.
I dont understand this, if you admit Lukaku was right in his own way, why did you spend an entire season arguing otherwise?

Almost whole post is wrong anyways.
Costa was signed when he was 19 and loaned out. played one season when he was 22 where he wasn't good enough. Loaned out. Scored few goals so he got chance at Atletico. Same thing as Lukaku just that he didn't get chance at Chelsea.
Also by the time Costa got proper chance he was 24 or 25, not sure why everyone would prefer that route. Also there isn't any rumor that they were clubs waiting for his signature.
