dortmund will never do anything so long as bayern buy their best player every year
Schalke got smashed home and away by Chelsea last year
leverkusen got absolutely annihilated by Man U home and away including 5-0 in Leverkusen
now let's compare last seasons record between the two leagues
bayern - semis
dortmund quarters
schalke - last 16
leverkusen - last 16
now EPL
chelsea - semis
man u - quarters
arsenal - last 16
man city - last 16
that is hardly ******** all over the prem in fact that may be an identical record!
if that's your opinion that the bundesliga is better/more competitive than the prem fine mate I am not bothered each to there own but don't just make **** up to support a point
anyway Chelsea thread got two transfers left in my fantasy football thinking Costa and cesc what you chelsea fans think
edit - you only have to go back 22 years for 6 different winners not sure what your point is there if you want to be like that in 20 years England has own champs league 4 times to Germany's 3 in that same time frame

I have Cahill,Azpi and Costa in my Fantasy team.
The only reason it will be a smooth ride for them this year is because they would probably already have won the league by the knockout stages and will start resting all their big players for league games to get ready for the big CL games

He is essentially saying that since more teams have won the Bundesliga in the last 10 years than teams that won the Premiereship, Bundlesliga is more competitive. But he is completely ignoring the present and future direction that this league is taking

United wins 13 titles in history of Premier League - obviously its the most competetive league on the planet.
Bayern wins 10 titles in the same time span - clearly one club league.

I don't understand ... What are you even saying? Dortmund have very little chance of winning the league. Bayern have 90% chance of winning the league due to the serious gulf in quality. You can't say the same for the EPL where you have at least 3 teams who are front runners with another 3 who can contend for the title as well. It's obvious which one is more competitive
The fact that literally everyone is ridiculing you right now should probably remind you of how fragile your point actually is and how you are presenting data in a completely flawed manner to prove your point
Ridiculous that we actually have people arguing that the Bundesliga is more competitive than the Premiere League AT THIS PRESENT MOMENT. Utterly ridiculous. Might as well say United are still the dominant force in English football because they won 13 titles in the past 20 years hur hur

The only thing the Bundesliga beats the Prem on is allowing standing for fans.
Finally its here! Chelsea are back in the Premier League and unlike my normal pessimistic ways for once i am expecting us to win the title this season but before we think of that we have the small mind of Burnley away tonight.
A quite tipsy me went to pick my daughter up from my mums Saturday night so decided to get a taxi back home and i had a very good football chat with the driver who was a Pompey fan (where i live). Now this is very rare as most Pompey fans i come across are very bitter towards Chelsea and talk rubbish but he was very clued up. He said this game tonight will be like playing at Fratton Park when Portsmouth where in the top division, fans close to the pitch and very vocal and i agreed. But he also stated that there was 1 club who never struggled with playing in these situations and that was Chelsea!
He also said he believed the game would be a little bit like our opener against Wigan in their first ever game in the top flight, a game we deserved to lose but Crespo popped up with a last minute winner. It surprised me a fan of another club remembered such game. Cannot wait for tonight now, booked the night off work and everything for it.

God i hope it's not similar to that one against Wigan. I remember i was so relieved when Crespo scored. But, tbh, i am expecting a game like that. Playing against newly promoted clubs on 1st day can be very frustrating, or even heartbreaking.

Courtois starting for us wasn't even a debate and any media source who has been debating this all summer did so just for the coverage. Cech by far the best keeper to play for Chelsea and arguably the best to play in the Premier League but for his age Courtois is insanely good and someone we just cannot lose.
