Am I right in saying schurrle has 15 minutes to sign for Wolfsburg?

There or thereabouts. Chelsea could probably push it through without selling, but they certainly would rather not. The reason being is that the timing makes their books look very healthy. Perfect for complying with FFP and then vying with the two Manchester Clubs to spend 60m on trying to get Paul Pogba in the summer.

Looks like Schurrle is done, so can probably expect official annoucements for both deals soon.

Exactly what I was thinking. They get player who offers something different and puts them in a good position on Pogba battle which will be the battle of summer.

Not quite true. That sale is what's holding up Cuadrado's purchase.

As you said, we can easily push through the Cuadrado purchase without selling but would prefer to balance the books. Cuadrado is more of a luxury signing than anything. We would have still been okay with Schurrle/Salah for the rest of the season

It's the same reason United haven't done business. They know exactly what they want, and will go all out in the summer to do it. No idea for how highly he is on LVG's list, but Moyes wanted him back before he got sacked.

Hopefully it will be Reus and Pogba although one suspects we have given up on Reus by going for Cuadrado. I am guessing Pogba is our main transfer target this summer along with a CB to replace Cahill

Will be some huge cash flying around for him. Between Utd,Chelsea and Real if they don't get there ban. Juve want around 70-90m euros. Plus wages and bonuses and agent fees.

It's more than that though. Balancing the books is a pre-requisite to a summer big spend. That's why it was so important.

Pogba has been praised very heavily by Mourinho in the past. I am almost certain we will go for him this summer especially after all the noise his agent has been making about a transfer. Their has been some murmurs about Varane but that's next to impossible

Reus will go to Madrid. United will probably turn to Pogba now that Strootman is out for the season.

Makes sense. By all estimates, we could have pushed through sales without selling but I suppose the club is preparing for a big marquee signing in the summer
