This one sentence shows how much the club has changed in a nutshell.

Mourinho: "I said ‘Begovic’ and they said ‘Okay, you can have Begovic’. End of story. Petr is happy. I am happy with what we have." [Mirror]

Indeed and from what I've heard Marina Granovskiaia deserves a lot of credit for the way the club has changed over the past couple of years. She was the one who engineered the return of Mourinho and the signing of Diego Costa, among others. But one of my favourite stories about her is that apparently during contract negotiations with Terry she basically told him to "Either take it or f*****g leave it".

Equally though Abramovich has a deeper knowledge and understanding of football now. Also it appears as though he's learnt from his mistakes, so hopefully we won't see another "I want him" Shevchenko/ Torres signing. But I suppose we'll see how much he's changed or hasn't when/ if Mourinho has a poor season with us. Nevertheless at the moment the future looks bright for Chelsea Football Club.

KTBFFH!

Yeah it's been confirmed that a bid was made for Stones but the board and Martinez have also said unequivably he is not for sale. Like Arteta wasn't (Kappa). I suspect they will have to bid £30 or more. At least you'd get more bang for your buck compared to someone like Sterling who is vastly over valued

You think he'll end up at Chelsea in the end?

Darren Lewis @MirrorDarren Mourinho on Pogba: “I think everybody has an interest in Pogba. I love the Eiffel Tower, but I can’t have the Eiffel Tower in my garden."

LMAO

After already spending over 200m last 2 seasons, yeah.

The master bullshitter opens another chapter.

Did you even bother reading the article? Or did you just glance at the archetypal sensationalist headline and form your own opinions?

He's clearly just glanced at the headline. The only time Jose mentions other PL clubs spending is in this paragraph:

"I cannot stop opponents to make an assault to the banks and spend millions and millions. I cannot stop that. I cannot [ stop ] the others have a feeling that we are playing against the champions. The others are spending. The others are buying a lot to try to be better than us and the fact that we are the same - we are changing a goalkeeper for another one - a striker for another one.".

Typical Journos, with there click bait Headlines!

"They attacking Jose" bait never fails.

Of course when you **** up, it's always the natural defensive tactic for you to hide behind the old and frankly idiotic 'CFC fans worship Jose' line. Run along now. Tyton the clown

The old frankly idiotic tactic obviously works on you, since you run to the defense within 3 minutes, knowing all well that nobody has to actually read any articles to confirm that Mourinho is full of ****.

So you are saying someone is full of **** after making a lol worthy post without reading the relevant article? Tyton the clown

No, I'm saying I've read the article, made completely irrelevant comment , and as usual you spilled your hurt feelings on the keyboard because someone made a joke on the internet.

Yohoho.

ahh the usual 'I actually knew what was going on but decided to have a laugh instead'. Seen it hundreds of times when **** lands in someone's face mate. Tyton the clown

Mourinho can be right- we're not necessarily one of the ultra rich clubs splashing out enormous amounts on single transfers like PSG anymore- and hypocritical at the same time. They're not mutually exclusive you know.

So judging from what Mourinho said in an interview with Sky Sports the other day, and from what Remy's said to the London Evening Standard, it's seem as though he won't be leaving Chelsea this summer.

"I am flattered by other teams wanting me, but I have never wanted to leave this club because I feel really good here. Of course I want to play more but I am sure I can do that here. That's my target. I will just try to make it happen, by working hard and showing the manager he can count on me. My mind is here and I don't want to leave. I know there are a lot of games and I will have my chance. I have to be ready at a good time and not be injured. I was happy with that I did last season, but I want to do more. I want to play and score more. My focus is the same.".

"Falcao is one of the best strikers in the league and it's good for the club to have this kind of player. For me there is no problem. It is a good thing that he joined us and we have three strikers. We can all play because one of us can get injured and there are a lot of games during the season. Chelsea can count on three strikers and that's really good. I have watched him everywhere he has played. At Manchester United I think he may have had some trouble, but before that he was a very good striker, he scored lots of goals. So for me it's good to play with him. I can learn a lot training next to this kind of player. It's all good to have Diego and Falcao next to me to improve and to be a good striker. Can I become first choice here? Nothing is impossible, so yes. I know that Diego is a really good striker and scores a lot of goals, so at the moment I think he is first choice here. But for me, things can happen quickly in football and I will never give up.".
