'formalising' interest is a very good development, the bid SSN is reporting is an old offer I mentioned a week or so ago that Anderlecht have neither accepted/rejected officially, they're waiting for Jovanovic/Prica to finalise and they want a little bit more of an initial fee.
He is Chelsea's no matter what, they have absolute first option on him regardless of now/january/next summer.

Yer all good now bud, was abit traumatic as mum got rushed into theatre while she was giving birth but all good now.

you need to calm down a little, it's only AvB second game in charge, afterall pre-season is the best time to get poor performances out the way.Having watched that game I will say one thing, Sturridge is not going to win us the title...(YET)
I would keep Sturridge and use him as a RW/RF to replace Kalou as BACKUP (2nd choice RW), sell Kalou/Anelka/Drogba.
Bring in Lukaku and Forlan and the strikeforce is fixed, finalise Mata deal to come in as LW and phase out Malouda and by next August hopefully Kakuta will have established himself as some form of 2nd choice LW.
Then defence wise I think it's fine, possibly bring in a better backup LB but with VA and Bertrand that department is sort of fine, Bosingwa will step up again I have no doubt so Ivo/Bosingwa cover that RB spot.
CB wise, if Terry/Luiz go down then Ivo/Alex can step in and I know they all have injury problems but from what I've seen Rajkovic has what it takes to step it up next season.
Midfield needs a young CDM minded CM or a DM who is good enough technically, then a new younger playmaker to come in and freshen the midfield up, Ramires will do better as well I have no doubt but he's no playmaker like a Pastore/Pjanic/Modric.
Ideally Forlan/Lukaku/Mata/Martinez/Moutinho/Moussa Sissoko all in, then Anelka/Drogba/Kalou out at least...
That is the same squad that let Carlo down so badly, alot of 'deadwood' that needs shifting in my opinion, I know they wont let Kalou go because Gourlay likes the 'value for money' he gives for his wages but I would kick him out the door in an instant.
This squad needs overhauling. It needs overhauling this summer, I hope AVB see's it because if he thinks that the players he has are good enough he's wrong...
Not panicking yet, when it comes August 14th and we haven't done alot of ^ then I will start panicking.
If Modric comes in, I don't think he will solve all the problems because the squad needs freshening up with new, younger blood.
Forlan would do FAR better at ST rotation than Anelka, forget his age because he has never had pace but he's one of the best finishers/technician STs in world football.

its not AVB's fault, never said that? Players are **** now, Lampard is waaaaaay too lazy, slow, and I think his time is over at the top level, i really do.
