PSG are building a team to compete from now. Bringing in the players they have been bringing in is not a long term plan. And I don't know how you can say Malaga won't make it into top 4 for sure when you have seen the inconsistency of the other big teams in Spain (except Barca and Real). Valencia are going downhill, Sevilla are not what they used to be, Villareal's team isn't stronger on paper etc etc.

Valencia, At. Mad, Sevilla, Villareal are better than Malaga sorry but.. i cant see him playing in CL anytime soon

PSG Chief Leonardo: "Regarding Pastore to PSG, there is nothing concrete yet."

All we need now is Malaga to bid 50 million euros for Modric and we can all get realistic and hopefully will buy smart and sell some people...Seems like everyone is forgetting FFP.

MCFC have a small chance in **** of complying with it, I'm not sure how but you would presume Roman will find a way...But PSG I am clueless as to how they will hide a 80 million euro+ spending spree the summer before it gets really enforced.

And PSG have more to come, overkill in Ligue 1 next season...Gilardino coming as well, what a front line.

I actually think Chelsea will be fine. They've had 5 more years to cut back than City have. City seem to be relying on incompetency/weakness of UEFA.

What about Sturridge for RW? :/

Sturridge wont win CFC a title YET IMO, I've said it before and I would prefer Marin RW and Mata LW but maybe I'm dreaming of a world where logic meets common sense and football becomes about value for money...

Pastore details: PSG expect the deal to be tied up by the weekend, 4 year contract with an initial 30 million euros fee rising to 42 million.

Still pricey but PSG will be very nice to watch next season.

I actually think Sturridge plays better as a right winger, well more like a second striker. Although, he seems to think his best position is as a striker, I think differently, but I suppose that's what this time in his career is for; finding his best position and role. But if he does want to play striker he's going to have to work hard.

Valencia might be losing Mata aswell, Malaga are only gaining players. Villareal aren't really better player wise, it might aswell be Malaga as them. Same goes for Sevilla and Athletico Madrid.

3rd 2 years in a row is going down hill?

No, but slowly losing all their key players and being hugely in debt is.

Valencia losing Mata is really no big loss, they signed Piatti dirt cheap and Diego Alves in goal...

Those 2 really went under the radar, ridiculous bargains.

Valencia don't have to sell Mata, we can keep him if we choose to. We have made a profit 2 years in a row, cutting our debt from €550m to €368m.

Sorry, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Another thing to note BlueHeart is that Villareal lost their best player (Santi Cazorla) to... I'll let you guess it.

Any CFC fans want Ever Banega?

I've gone off him...

Wow.

I know it was 3 years ago but no thank you Ever.

I saw that video 2 years ago and got reminded about it today, the mental scars might start to ease if I 'share' the content with everyone. Maybe Villareal could ***** his services out to service their debts?

P.S Skip to 4.07 that's where things get 'real'...

Very impressive, but how are you going to make that €368m? You aren't unless you sell players, you could keep Mata, but it won't help your financial situation if you do.

I'll give it a miss, thank you.

Valencia would sell Mata/Anyone if the margin was right, if they get an offer of 22 million for Mata that's a little over 2000 pct profit on the fee they paid Real Madrid.

Reality is they would sell but with Piatti, Mata is easily replaced IMO. Finally having a solid GK after god knows how long since Canizares retired is a big factor as well. Valencia will be challenging.

Jamie - I said Banega was trouble before, maybe people who don't know of his off field antics too well will be enlightened. There is a long list of why plenty of people don't like him.
Mads - The keeping Mata part? we honestly don't have to sell, but if the board feel the offer is too good to turn down then....well he could be sold.

P.S. Piatti was bought as a replacement for Joaquin, so we would still have to replace Mata if he was sold.

and there was me saying that like 50 posts ago, maybe the smartest thing a coach can do.

deep-lying role - setting up the attack from a deep position, i agree with that.

You think Marin is better than Sturridge?? Not a chance.

Is that a give it a miss to signing Banega/Viewing the video/Even talking about it anymore?

Can't blame you...

I would rather have Marin playing RW...

Just like I would rather have Sturridge over Marin if we were talking RS...

Sturridge can cut inside or go wide and thats the beauty of him. Take his goal, when he got the ball he could have tried to come inside and have a shot on his stronger right-foot but he carried on down the outside and got his reward. Marin would cost money and whats the point in spending when we have a ready made right sided attaker.
