Bastos, Pjanic and Moutinho would be fine for me. At a push I would want a RW but I doubt we will sign two wingers. Marin/Bastos/Pjanic/Moutinho would give me real confidence in winning trophies under Andre.

And I wouldn't rule out us playing 2 up front at times this year either. Possibly a 4-3-1-2 with Torres and then whoever he's playing best with next to him. Would most likely need to get somebody who can play in the hole behind them though, although that's probably Kakuta's best role, but hard to tell what role Kakuta will play next season and whether he'll be loaned out.

to be fair, AVB has played Drogba and Torres upfront in a 2 striker formation with Torres given the freedom to float to the wings, I can see Lukaku rotating with Drogba in that formation and Sturridge will be absolutely perfect in that formation if Torres gets injured....Although Anelka did do well in the hole behind the strikers I rather see Benayoun or Josh there, according to me Anelka does not have a future at this club and whatever our opinions on Kalou, I find him to be a good versatile squad player who can complement us on the wings in a 4-3-3 or in a central striker role and he does bag useful goals, I rather see Anelka leave partly because he is getting on as well

We tried out 3-4 formations in our Pre-Season Games so it will be interesting to see how we go about playing teams of varying difficulties, I am particulalry interested in seeing the Rangers game and how AVB approaches that as to be fair, Rangers will prove far tougher opposition than Villa considering their players are at full fitness since they just played in the Champions League Qualifiers

Hope Torres bags a goal, would do wonders for his confidence just when we need it the most

By the way im proper ****** off the Chelsea-Rangers game kicks-off at 3 today but wont be shown until 5:15 on ChelseaTV!!! I ordered ChelseaTV for this pre-season like i do every year and this year we had 7 freindlys.
Wycombe - Behind closed doors, not live anywhere
Portsmouth - I went to the game
Malaysia 11 - Chelsea TV
Thailand All Stars - Chelsea TV
Kitchee - SkySports
Aston Villa - SkySports
Rangers - Chelsea TV once game is finished but can watch live stream online.

So basicly i have payed £12 (2months fee) to watch 2 games live on ChelseaTV, joke.
 
If I was AVB , I would defo send Betrand out on loan to QPR so that he can get regular games in the PLM and rotate PVA with Cole.... both PVA and Betrand are very talented and I certainly hope to see one of them filling Cole's place in the years to come

Also Kakuta out on loan to a PLM club, dont see him getting 2 many games for us even though our midfield is deplted

Josh please stay with us.... shuld be getting regular games and I hope AVB does not buy someone as this is Josh's real chance to break through and he showed us all what he can do in that performance against Kitchee and Villa, deserves to be playing at least 20-30 games this season

And hopefully after the Lukaku deal is done, Anelka leaves to more lazy pastures, Zhirkov goes to Anzhi and we sign up Mata and Moutinho.... that to me would se a sign of intent on AVBs part that we are ready to challenge Man United and City all the way
 
Josh is going nowhere.

I want Mata and Moutinho as well, but atm, it seems we are not interested in either of them.

I would say definite interest in Moutinho IMO.

More interested in our youth signings, rumours that we are moving for a young Russian midfielder from a Moscow academy who is very small and nippy.

I'm trying to dig a name up at the minute, I just hope we make a move for Guarch and don't let Palermo/Roma get him.

With the current squad I am pessimistic, I know people will be added but time is running out.

Even with Lukaku joining for next season I think we will be outplayed in midfield completely without bringing someone in.

Still think 3 more signings if Lukaku joins.

an officially confirmed interest? Has Da Costa ever confirmed we are in for Moutinho? I dont think he has.

rumours in the papers are just big fat rumours.

I dont think we will be signing 3 players, even Gourlay said 2 or 3. If Lukaku signs i wouldnt be suprised if that was it for us.

They aren't going to confirm interest publicly are they?

It would be extremely surprising.

And RE CJACKO, we were confirmed to be in for Pastore we just were not prepared to meet Zampa's ridiculous price that PSG met. So to me that shows we are in for a midfielder.

But we all know how much ***** Zampa chats, no-one at Chelsea confirmed we were in talks with Pastore at any point so i'd take it with a pinch of salt.
 
Widely held that Chelsea were in for Pastore. Chelsea weren't going to confirm, United have been pretending for 3 months they are not after Sneijder.

Well, some do.

for example, Van Holsbeeck confirmed publicly that we are interested in signing Lukaku..
even Zampa confirmed as well (about the Pastore thing)

So, nothing surprising in that.
 
Anderlecht and Palermo will, they want to sell and milk the best price possible. (Selling clubs)

If Da Costa had a choice, he would want to keep Moutinho but if CFC came in with a release clause offer he would happily see the profit.

It is widely held but this Chelsea keep their cards closer to their chest unless they are close to signing a player. For instance when the media found out about intrest in AVB, Courtois and Oriol Chelsea sent out a statement comfirming our intrest in these people. And there was no statement on Pastore at any point or even any talks of the Modric type where it was a definate we made a bid for him.

Everyone knew what their president said and we all know what he is like. 2 weeks ago 4-5 different clubs were in for Pastore apparently and at one point he said he is likely to stay in Italy. The mans a crock simple as that and will do anything in his power to push the price up for his player because thats how Palermo operate.

That's how Zamparini operates.

Him/Sabatini both work on the same guise, every player has a value and max that value/potential out then sell him on.

Plus lets not mention Cavani, he's pretty insistent no one mentions Edinson Cavani otherwise he goes in a mood and wont talk to the press.

People like Zampa get alot of sales wrong, Zampa/Pastores agent are looking out for the same thing...Mo' money.

Except it isnt just what he said, both the director of football and head coach said the same thing. Hence why it was credible, pretty much known Chelsea were in, and baulked at the terms. Believe it or not, its up to you.
