In which world Anelka, Kalou worth more than 20 Million? Spurs have rejected 30 Million bid why will they want your dead wood.. They have better players than both on their bench..

I think Chelsea will make a bigger bid and may sign him on the deadline day.. Transfer market wont be fun without deadline day deals..

Connor clifford was called up for Irish squad..

Kalou is easily worth 10-15m and Anelka is worth around 5-10m considering he can hit 10+ goals from season to season and if Kalou plays week in and out then he too can hit 10+ goals every season plus Spurs need a striker and they cant get too many good ones considering they are out of the CL this season

Kalou for £15M? In what world...

tbh if Henderson goes for 20m, Carroll for 35m then Kalou is worth 15 considering his age and plus plenty of experience playing in the PLM not to mention that he bags goals every season

Henderson went for £20M because he's English, had a good season last season and was exactly what Liverpool wanted. Same with Downing. Carroll went for £35M because it was deadline day, Newcastle didn't have to/want to sell and everyone knew Liverpool had just been given £50M.

Kalou is worth at the maximum £10M imo. Nothing special, but a decent impact player. That £10M is at a stretch too..

Seriously, people need to stop comparing every single transfer to Carroll, Torres, Henderson etc.

comparing transfers will always take place as the price of every player is relative to other transfers, that is to say that no player really has a set price

Plus Henderson going for 20m just because he is what Liverpool wanted... sounds like a pretty dumb justification for his fee although its true that he was over-priced cos he was English

Kalou is probable worth half of it.
Anelka is in 30s. No one will pay 5Million for Le Sulk. His best days are behind him.

Defoe is better than both and they have Pav who is also better than Kalou. **** even Robbie Keane is better than Kalou.

And you can compare every transfer to Henderson and Carroll, then there is Hernandez. If Hernandez is worth 6 Million then Kalou is worth 2-3Millon surely?

If you want to get rid of players you wont get big sum.

Still point is Levy is not mental to accept 10Million plus Anelka and Kalou.

fine point accepted... I think both of them plus a cash offer of 15-20m .... thats a win-win situation for us really, we get rid of our deadwood and also snag our man

No it's not dumb, supply and demand herp derp.

umm.... so tommorow if I want Heskey and I sign him for 20m then say that we paid 20m for him cos we wanted him?

Don't be stupid, you don't have the demand or money to pay £20m for Heskey.

Roma interest in Guarin

According to this, his release clause is £26m, a lot more than some thought a while ago. His agent does seem to hint that Porto may be willing to sell for less than that though.

Kalou deadwood? Not worth £10 mil? XD £20 mil more like...Oh and to say Spurs have better players on the bench than Anelka and Kalou is absolute rubbish. Kalou>>>Anelka>Pavlyuchenko>>>>>>>Defoe>>>Keane>Crouch.

Anyway, some good news it seems.

It looks like Rajkovic will be signing a new contract and then will be able to get a work permit, hopefully. He could go on loan again though if he isn't granted a wp.

But Chelsea must think that we have a good chance of getting him a wp if we are going to give him a new contract.

We certainly got more young talent than we need at the CB position tbh.... Nats Chalobah, Kalas and Rajkovic not forgetting David Luiz

would welcome him, he is a fantastic player although if it were up to me.... I would be looking to bring in the OTHER midfielder from Porto

Chalobah and Kalas are 3 years off though imo (could even be more, maybe less though). Don't forget Bruma he should be ready to compete in two years. Alex will most likely leave by then and as much as I like him it would be the perfect time for him to go, he'll be 31 and it will give younger players a chance. Terry won't play every game at that point and Iva will most likely be at RB still. I wouldn't say we will be overloaded with CBs. And if Rajkovic doesn't get a wp AVB will most likely go for someone like Dann, so I'd rather Rajkovic tbh. And on Kalas again he could also end up RB and Chalobah possibly defensive mid, just need to wait and see how they develop and then when they're ready to come through then play them when needed and try to find what works best for them.

I think Chalobah performs best as Centre-Back cos I watched him as a Defensive Mid a couple of times and I really cant put my finger on it but it seems to me that he zones out of the game as he cant contribute much to our midfield play... possibly because he is still young and developing so we will see how it goes and I will be quite happy if Kalas develops the necessary qualities to perform at Right-Back considering that both Bosingwa and Paulo are getting on and we desperately need an injection of youth Talent in that area, I hope Rajkovic does get a WP because he seems like an exciting prospect

Other than that I am hoping the likes of Todd Kane continues to progress and hopefully he too can contend for the RB spot when Bosingwa and Paulo call it a day, I also have high hopes for the likes of Nathan Ake and Lewis Baker who are both involved in the Holland and England Youth Set-Ups and very excited to hear that Connor Clifford has been called up as a senior intenational, think a loan for Conner would do him wonders

Yeah, I think Chalobah is better as a CB too, but he could develop into being better as a defensive mid, rather than CB, but who knows?!

Still undecided on Kane and Clifford is a good player, seems like it could be too late for him to break into the team, but if he gets a good loan spell then that could change. Ake and Baker both look good players, hopefully will get the opportunity to see more of them next year.

Guarin resigned like Falcao before the Copa America. Would welcome him, a brilliant CM with a top creative touch. Would prefer Moutinho and Pjanic to be honest, would freshen up the midfield perfectly.

To put my 2 bob in, Kalas really impresses me. Can see him being a top CB, possibly develop as a DM.

Rajkovic has a good 90 mins for Serbia, as they lost 1-0 to Russia, while Zhirkov was booed every time he touched the ball. Shame really I genuinely don't think he's the type to move just for money, but he wanted to move back to Russia leaving him without much choice, and Anzhi will certainly challenge for the title next year. I doubt they will have time to catch CSKA and Zenit this season.
