Today on a Chelsea facebook page I am a "foreign ****", " a city fan" and football apparently isn't for me and I shouldn't watch it because I do not find he munich air crash funny or I am not glad that it happened. Seriously I hate some Chelsea fans.

All clubs forums and pages are massivly bias and sickening at times.

There's tossers at every club, just don't bother with them. According to someone on the Chelsea forums a few years back I was a "traitor" because I said I'd rather have Fabregas than Deco.

Anyway I was having a look at the chalkboards for Sunday's game and 3 things stuck out to me.

- Mata had the most passes of players on the pitch (86% successful passes)
- Lampard may have more time left in him if he takes on a deep lying role. He finished the first half with 95% successful passes and he generally played a possession retention game (almost all square balls or very short passes forward)
- If we're going off the standard 4-3-3 midfield trio (destroyer, creator, passer) Ramires is a bit of a weird one. We saw him going forward a lot and arriving in the box late yet the majority of creative passes forward came from Mata.

I knew Mata would have been up there with successfull passes. The thing with Ramires is that he assists the assist if you get my drift, he is the first one to get the ball keeps running and gives it to someone to set someone else up. I think he is a great footballer and just what we need.

Anyone mentioned my favorite stat from Sunday?

''Chelsea created 13 goal scoring chances, the most since November 2010 against Birmingham.''

Any coincidence that so many chances were created and it's the game where Torres nearly got a hat trick?

I think not, very positive statistic.

More chances were created in that one game than was created in 3 league games in February combined, says alot.

As for the Torres miss, I've seen alot worse.

Its a very possitive stat and its like i said after the game, last season we didnt even create chances but this year we are but our defence is letting us down unlike last season. Its kind of flipped around if you get what im trying to say.

Also on the Torres miss i was listeneing to a few podcasts and even they were saying they have seen worse, Torres was going at pace on his weaker foot and was slightly off balance. Quickly before people pick me up on it he SHOULD have scored regardless of them reasons but the point is there has been people who has missed open goals without any excuses. I just hope this dosen't put him back a step because he looked somewhere near back to his old self Sunday.

To be fair I was trying to find another Fernando Torres miss in his career, couldn't remember one.

Every striker has it, Ibra's missed at least 3 I can remember from 5 yards out.

I'm giving an example every day to quieten down the 'OMG ITZ ZEE WORSTEST MISS EVER IN DA ISTORY OF FOOTBALL HAHA FEARNEANDDO YOU IZ BAD' brigade. (That's a German-Cockney-Gangster if you missed that reference)

Example:

I've always had alot of faith, blind at times, in Torres to come good and he is back I assure you and the main reason is he has a supply line giving him 'vertical' through the lines in-behind-passes rather than him dropping off 20 yards out wide to get the ball. Would not surprise me if he bags 2/3 against Swansea.

That miss for me is worse. I hope your right about him bagging a few against Swansea as its my 2nd trip to the Bridge this season and would love to see a top Nando performance.

Its no coincidence either that his return to form has coincided with the signing of Mata... I can see now why everyone says Mata is a genuine creator as he really is someone who looks to pass the ball first but its not as if he is afraid to take the shot when the situation demands it, Mata is by far our most intelligent wideman and the best thingis, he allows Torres to play where he plays best, on the shoulder of the defender running rings around him.... Malouda is jus greedy, sadly Sturridge was greedy as well against Man Utd, I think that its fair to say that on the back of the season so far, Anelka should be picked ahead of Malouda

Now you see why i was raving abut Wenger not signing him

The last 3 times Chelsea have won the League Cup they have gone on to win something else that season.

Agree with you.... It was so frustrating to watch Torres play last season, to be fair he was trying his best making inside runs on the Central Defenders but whenever our widemen had the ball, instead of looking to pass to him they would look to shoot instead, it was like Malouda had the ball, Torres made the run and instead of passing to him Malouda was try some greedy shot from outside the box which had little chance of going in

Mata's signing was needed, the existing widemen at Chelsea such as Malouda and Kalou just do not fit into AVB's style of play.. Sturridge is young but he really needs to pass the ball more often if he wants to play on the right while Anelka is thankfully has the experience and intelligence to know when to shoot and when to pass, glad we did not sell him off

We really need to bring one more winger in as Kalou just does not fit into AVBs style of play and neither does Malouda, hopefully we go for someone in the 'Mata' mould in January

Aye hoping Luiz gets back to fitness quickly as he is truly a terrific player, his goal vs Leverkusen was ****** good and AVB rates him highly

Him coming back will g a long way in shoring up our defensive problems

Sturridge just needs game time, he trying a bit too hard to impress, probably because he thiks he has limited game time,AVB just needs to have a word and re-assure him and get playing more for the team

Squad to face Fulham:
Cech

Luiz
Alex
Oriol
McEachran
Malouda

That was so funny then with Lukaku. His pace and strength are amazing.

Not looking good for Studge there. Wish he didn't try rob Josh's goal, would have been a great goal. He was probably trying to make sure it didn't get blocked on the line to be fair though (or not!).

Great! Now Cech's down.

Sturridge off injured (commentator said calf injury), Lampard on.
