Thats hardly questioning his integrity. Thats just basicly stating maybe the game was too big of an occasion for him and it looked that way. He never had a hold of the game from the off.

So, in short, you don't know what integrity means? :)

Yer i remember seeing that and just laughing, thought it was Alan Shearer in the crowed if they didnt know who Mata was.

No its exactly what you call questioning his integrity. Because its questioning his ability not to be swayed by the home crowd and be biased

You need to grow up and get your act together before you disappear from this forum. Ive heard some ridiculous things in my time but what you said about Foy is frankly sick

The way this season is going with al these shocking refereeing decisions, it's surely going to come to a head?

Liverpool, Everton, Villa, Chelsea at least are all on record as criticizing awful refereeing decisions. I'm not sure anything can be done simply because the referee's are so distant from the clubs/fans/players.

I've never understood what the problem is with a referee or linesman coming out after the game and actually explaining his thinking/decision's.

At the moment they say they get unnecessary abuse from managers/fans/players but in reality they've spent the best part of 10 years ignoring everyone and living in their own little world of referee's. Something needs to change because we have seen Bosingwa/Rodwell/Herd red cards completely change games and they are just the ones off the top of my head.

Being grown up means killing someone over a game? Learn something new every day.

Here comes Mike.'s thick, slippery ban-rod of justice.

Refs aren't allowed to discuss anything about the games. Unless I'm mistaken and changed it again. Which is frankly....dumb.

I actually don't think there is a law or legislation saying that, I remember one time and one time only a referee did come out a few years ago to the camera's after the game and explained some decisions.

I think, think, it was at Old Trafford but I'm not 100%. That one referee did it once and it has never happened again, I think fans and players would understand more if they did explain themselves.

Rugby's a perfect example, clear injustice against Wales but no player got in the referee's face because he explained his reasoning and any appeal or talk was reserved for after the game. Respect is a 2 way streak, referee's can not expect it and not be open with the fans/players/managers yet expect respect no matter what.

I'm sure someone will remember when/where/who explained themselves a few years ago...

I'm pretty sure it was inbetween the 03 and 07 season, I just can't pinpoint who it was or when exactly.

re Atmosphere

best atmosphere i've ever seen at a football match, from 30 minutes before the match and 20 after, non stop singing, making it so so so hostile for chelsea aswell.

One of the funniest parts was when the ball went into our section of the crowd and a fat bloke picked it up and instead of giving it to luiz he threw it away from him, luiz thought it would be clever to kiss his badge in front of us prompting insults and boos for the rest for the match not helped by him making rude gestures to the fan, oh and John Terry's a ****, i mean, i knew that before today but it just came out more than usual

At least it'd mean he goes to jail and spares the gene pool from him breeding.

If that was on FB would've been gettin a knock on the door from the local constabulary. I seriously didn't believe what I was reading. I've seen some stuff written by absolute mugs on this site, but that was just sickening. The morons who threatened Urs Meier must have inspired him.

Neh referee mistakes, always been part of the game. You win some, you lose some. If referee's talked to the press after the game, they'd just end up getting vilified.

He never said that thought did he??

he pretty much said it, its quite obvious. Anyone who watched him speak knew exactly what he was inferring. You can dance around it if you want but he did question the refs integrity. The fact that he was right is irrelevant, he still cant do it

I guess. Bit of a no-win situation for some I guess.

"I'm very disappointed with Chris' performance. With nine players we kept our emotions very well."
"Chris and his team managed to play an emotional game and they conceded to the crowd and committed tremendous mistakes."

What do you call that? ....

Gestured to Paddy Kenny that he was fat haha, what a ******* legend. ONE ENGLAND CAPTAN!!!!!

Vilified more than they are already?

I'm not expecting apologies or in depth analysis just what they were thinking when they made contentious decisions. Let's face it, if we continue like this for the next 2 seasons the gap between referee's and everyone else will only become larger. I think it would help if they did explain decisions, maybe not to the media/fans post match, but at least to the players on the pitch.

I've seen referee's send people off and just ignore what they were saying and stay silent as they watch them get dragged off. If the referee at Villa yesterday watches that back he will see what a shocking decision he made. For me it's not integrity or bias, it's the undeniable fact that so far this season there has been some absolutely terrible decisions more than any other season.

It has actually gotten worse season on season, that Herd red card yesterday is one of the most ludicrous Premier League red cards I've ever witnessed. Maybe the referee's need to hold a meeting on consistency because at the moment players/clubs have no idea where the boundaries are.

So the guy makes a few mistakes and suddenly his family deserves to die? o.O

I wonder what Blueheart would think if we turn up at his work tomorrow morning and apply his own logic to his family every time he screws up...

This is the same Terry who is Frank Lampard's teammate? And he's calling the OPPOSITION fat? ;)
