Well its something Chelsea do because no-one has spoken out after being sacked since Roman has took over so this isen't the only case. AVB made some massively huge and bad calls early on which in the end didn't help him, the sacking for me was totally justified.

There's a huge difference between not taking the option to talk, and not having the option to talk.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand guess who scored?

So what? He will score one and ruin a dozen by not passing to an unmarked Torres.

Anyway, brilliant save by Cech. But that should not delude you, he is not a world class gk.

Why would you be so critical of undoubtedly your best future talent in Sturridge?

Yes he can be selfish sometimes but surely good coaching can take that out of his game, he is still young and I think he has made some very impressive performances this season, you should stick behind Sturridge, better than any other young prospect you have at the moment.

He might be selfish but it could also just be bad decision making, it can easily be taken out of his game either way with some decent coaching.

Nice to see Torres scoring again, I really think he lacked confidence and it was psychological and partially down to past injuries, no doubt he is returning to form.

What was Fernando's goal like? Hoping it's a strikers goal of sorts rather than a tap in.

oh the irony. WELL DONE STURRIDGE

Jesus Christ Sturridge really showed you up today lol.

Great performance and just goes to show the belief Bobby D has installed at the club. 2 months ago if we were pegged back from 2 up we would have lost the game without a doubt.

Sturridge played im in, first touch to set himself (wasen't a brilliant touch) then lashed it accross Given. Was a very good goal indeed.

ermm, not really. but he is a good talent, no doubt.

sometimes? 9 out of 10 times hes going to shoot instead of passing the ball.

no doubt, but he doesnt seem to care, and he doesnt stop talking about his so beloved striker position and how much he wants to play there. He is a winger at the moment, and a winger must pass the ball to the unmarked(and not only) players/strikers.

Obviously, I dont care who scores as long as we keep winning, but 9/10 times shooting instead of passing could cost us, especially in games like that.

I keep my point of view, and still think that Torres doesnt have enough service.

Brilliant. Should do him the world of good now, hopefully he pushes on just in time for that 4th spot!

Anyone heard of our ridiculous playing schedule with the cup game against Spurs and (If we and Barca get through) the Champions league game?
Spurs Chelsea 6pm on Sunday - Chelsea Barca on the following Tuesday..

Yes, I couldnt believe it. I double checked it if was really Sturridge and not some mistake by the commentators. Thats exactly what he should have done at least 15 times in the past.

Sturridge and Torres upfront could be one to try, with the pace of Sturridge he could break up defences. If Sturridge keeps saying he wants a striking role and is saying he is a striker then surely it is common sense that his natural instinct is to shoot rather than pass? Obviously in the role he plays at the moment he should look for the pass before taking the shot on.

FA once again proved their cuntness.

Agree with a lot of this. Sturridge has a lot of work to to still, his teamplay, workrate, passing, decision making, crossing, are all very inconsistent. I would not be saying that Wide right is his to lose. After Right back and Left wing, thats an area to improve. Very selfish player, and one game doesnt change that over the season the above stands out.

To be fair to him, he is still young and this is first season where he is playing reguarly in a position unfamiliar to him. No doubt their is capacity to improve but he has done well under the circumstances. Should only improve from here on.

Good to see a solid win as well as Arsenal dropping points which keeps us in the hunt for 4th. Torres has strung up a series of good performances of late and long may that continue, a on-form Torres could very well be the difference between 4th place and Europa League next season

Used to play wide for City at times, and he is 24, needs to be getting these things down.
