I admittedly only saw the first half last night. But from what I heard from my dad, Chelsea defended really well. As I said, Barca will be more comfortable at Home. I thought you's were a bit slow to start off with which was dangerous, next week, there's only 1 way you will win and it's not sitting back. Going at them, closing them down all over the pitch, It will require alot of work rate but it will be worth it. Play Barca at their own game when they aint got the ball.

Chelsea aren't half way there, far from it. To have any real chance of going through we need to score over there, then Barca would have to score 3. They are capable of scoring 5-6 given the chances they create but hopefully we frustrate again and their forwards have another off day.

Same joke just updated a bit more.

Also something that fails to go mentioned is that JT has been playing through these games with 2 cracked ribs!!! I personally have never cracked a rib but from someone i know said it hurts to even drink and breathe so he deserves so much credit. Also his partnership with Cahill at Centre Back surely bodes well for England if Pearce is allowed to pick JT that is.

JT IS GOD. The only player who would play with anything broken is him. He just doesnt stop. Legend. Thats why I dont give a rat's *** if he sleeps with another man's wife(although its all rumours), on the pitch and even outside the pitch/Bridge he is THE Chelsea leader and legend. Never seen a man so tough. He is no longer the best CB, thats true, but he gives his all every game, and he will continue to do so till his last day in blue shirt.

You mean you haven't been watching them? It's a myth that Mascherano can't play CB.

Guardiola: "Mascherano is the best signing this club has made in 4 years".

I dont know why, but I just remembered that. :D

Chelsea must score, preferably twice. We kept a clean sheet there few years back, and it was incredibly difficult to do so. And they are better now than back then. Score early and put the pressure on.

and yes, PETR CECH IS NOT A WORLD CLASS GK.

One game does not make him back to his season. Goalkeepers more than anyone are judged on consistency, and he is down on that from 2-3 years ago. Still very good. But not near being the very best.

okay mate. didnt say he is the best out there though, but still a top GK. anyway, lets move on now :)

absolutely no way. 2 goals there is just unthinkable, and even if we do score 2, they will come at us and.... 1 goal is all i'm hoping for, and if they manage to make it 3-1, then maybe, hopefully we score another. but hypothetically speaking.. it will be real hard.

I think it depends on how the game starts, if we welcome them in our half too early in the game, we're finished. And if we give them a pen or something.. we just must be more careful than ever.

Really? I can think of 5 or 6 PL keepers who are better than him just off the top of my head. You need to get that Belgian kid back, forgot his name :(

OKAY, your opinion. i respect it, cant accept it though.

Thibaut Courtois is his name.

Joe Hart

Shay Given

Those are about the only 2 I can think of. Possibly Tim Krul

Reina- makes more monumental ****-ups than Cech

De Gea- Has only come into his 'own in the second half of the season, will judge when he can replicate that kind of form over a number of seasons like Cech has

Krul/ Vorm/ Sczeseny- same as above

Al Habsi- Would be hilarious if anyone thought so

Brad Friedel- Solid GK, but was never up there with the best even in his prime

Cech is still a great GK. Not as good as he was a couple of seasons back but a damm fine one nonetheless

Please edit your post and get De gea out of there.

and I think they meant worldwide.. So Casillas and Neuer are the only ones I really rate outside England.

Valdes? Abiatti? De Sanctis? Hugo Lloris? Bernd Leno probably, as with Sven Ulreich, Handanovic, Sirigu, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen are one's off the top of my head and out of England that I'd rate above him, honestly. ****, even Buffon is still insane.

Cech was solid last night, made a few good saves but didn't particularly impress me. Made no world class saves. I agree with others, very good keeper but has certainly declined. no longer world class

You should watch De Gea more before posting then. Second half of the season he is the best GK in the league.

Abiatti? lol,
Lloris: Butter fingers Lloris?
De Sanctis? The GK of Napoli who made so many **** ups in one season alone than Cech made his entire career?
Others like Marc-Andre are just FM wonderkids. Come to reality, he is having good season but not in Cech's league.

Joe Hart
Wojciech Szczesny
Pepe Reina
Tim Krul
Michel Vorm
Tim Howard

Maybe David De Gea.

I'd even go so far as to say that Mignolet, & Al-Habsi aren't far off.

Reina might make the odd mistake but he's generally solid and put his body on the line at all times, something Cech just doesn't do anymore, think it's time he moved on to a less physical league.

This season Cech is much better than Reina. Funny how everyone is posting so many GKs ahead of Cech and still rate Reina as the best GK.

Going by same random (recent trend) posting, here is the list of GKs who are better than Reina,

Joe Hart
De Gea
Ches
Vorm
Cech
Howard
Given
Fridel
Krul
