Assists

Marin: 5 assists in 16(5) games + 1 goal
Mata: 11 assists in 28(4) games
Lampard: 5 assists in 25(3) games
A. Cole: 6 assists in 30(1) games
Analysis: He has had a ratio of an assist every 3 games. And it is likely to improve in a team of better quality than Bremen provided our strikers don't continue misfiring in 2012-13. In previous 5 seasons, he has constantly notched over 10 assists. The fall this year has been on account of playing in AMC and injuries.

Shots per Game (other than strikers)
Marin: 1.5
Lampard: 2.1
Mata: 1.9
Meireles: 1.7

Analysis: He doesn't shoot as frequently at goals like our other players do. Comparatively, Sturridge has 3 per game from the right.

Pass Success Percentage
Marin: 79.6%
All the players exceed him except Torres, Cech and Drogba.
Mata and Lampard (comparable players) have 86.8%, Ramires has 85.1%

Analysis: Poor pass completion ratio as compared to our other players. May be because of being played out of position and the quality of Bremen team. But still, to be kept in mind. Needs to be more disciplined.

Aerial Duels Won
Marin: 0.1 per game
Mata: 0.0
Lampard 0.3
Ramires: 0.4

Analysis: Not much to analyse. 5'7" height. Poor header of ball. Akin to Mata, doesn't prefer entering into aerial duels.

Key Passes
Marin: 1.9 per game
Mata: 3
Lampard: 1.8
Meireles: 1.4

Analysis: Noteworthy improvement in our current squad. Another stat that is likely to improve with better players around him as compared to Bremen. Likely to combine well at LW with Mata at AMC.

Successful Dribbles
Marin: 2.1 per game
Ramires: 1.6
Torres: 1.1
Luiz: 1

Analysis: Massive improvement as compared to what we currently have. Bar 3 players, none of the others average a dribble per game. Has an excellent burst of acceleration. Likes to take on an beat his man. This is from AMC, so might improve considerably at LW.

Accurate Crosses
Marin: 1.3 per game
Mata: 1.7
Malouda: 1.1
Lampard: 0.9

Analysis: Again, brings an improvement to the team. And considering that he has played at AMC, this stat might improve considerably at LW.

Key Strengths
Dribbling
Holding onto ball (1.2 dispossession per game, compared to 1.7 of Mata and Ramires, 1.9 of Malouda, 2.4 of Sturridge)
Key passes
Attracting fouls (2 per game, compared to 1.3 of Ramires, 1.2 of Drogba and Luiz)

Weakness
Finishing
Passing
Defensive Contribution

Overall Analysis: Significant improvement to the overall squad, considering that these statistics are from probably his worst season in 5 years and not playing at his regular position on wings. Will be a very useful squad player, will regularly get games although may not regularly start. At €8 million, surely a bargain for a 23 year old international.

I don't think you need to be a disciplinarian to win these players over, being a good man manager and making the players respect you can also do this. Even so for 8 million its peanuts so its worth the gamble.

8 million British pounds being described as 'peanuts'

oh.

For someone so greedy has has managed to get 55 assists in his 203 game career, that's not too bad.
No, not greedy.
Too indecisive on the ball and too many bad decisions. Most of his assists have come from crossing the ball to Pizarro or cutting inside and laying it off.

Lol, ok in this day and age it it pretty cheep.

As long as he is not as greedy as Sturridge then i'll be happy lol.

Chelsea Team: Cech, Ferreira, Bosingwa, JT, Cole, Lampard, Essien, Sturridge, Kalou, Mata and Torres.

I say we better keep him and not send him on loan next season, the lad will be a brilliant squad player.

TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRES TOOOOOOOOOORRES TOOOOOOOORRES TOOOOOOOOOOOOORRES

AAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!

brilliant first half.

Torres going for a hattrick hopefully RDM wont take him out.

Game over, it was from the 48th second.

Would personally love to see a few QPR players leaving the leg in on John Terry this half though (horrible ******* I am, I know)
