I couldn't find how many assists he has had outside of La Liga. Amazing statistics, amazing player, really have to see him in the flesh.
 
Hope the club resolves this managerial situation as soon as possible. The fact that we are not being linked firmly to anybody other than RDM seems to be a strong sign that RDM will get the job. I recall Gourlay saying that the club hope to appoint a permanent manager in 1-2 weeks and that they will have a meeting this week to plan for the future.

Anyways I hope we appoint one fast, this summer will be crucial for us to get in those extra quality players that can push us to another level.

Anyways here is a question to everyone, who would be your ideal Chelsea signings and a hypothetical question here, what would you do with our youngsters if you were the manager? Send them out on loan or keep them etc.
 
Just watching the video of the players being interviewed on the bus. Torres was saying things like how he is looking forward to playing the two supercups and how he will be counting down the days to playing against At Madrid which he says will be a emotional encounter for him

So I am confused, he is basically saying he will be at the club next season yet is telling a completely different story in his other interview

Easy. A classy winger - Hazard, A classy regista - Modric, a classy RB. If Drogba leaves, a classy replacement won't be needed I guess, knowing what Torres just said, maybe we will have to keep Lukaku. Although I think we should send him on loan at a PL club along with De Bruyne (although if we miss out on Hazard, I say we better keep Kevin and give him opportunities, he is ready to play, no need for a loan spell). I said that we would need a replacement of Drogba, and said Falcao/Cavani, but then Torres will want to leave, as he wants to be 'more involved'. I say we better keep Torres, provide him all the service he needs and even more. Modric as a string puller/regista, and Marin/Ramires--Mata--*new winger* behind him = Torres happy again, scoring like never before.


That would be amazing summer. Lets see.
 
The Torres thing is just him being unhappy at not playing, its been blown way out or proportion. When he signed he was the 50m man, the man to win us trophies - the new Drogba (as in a key role). That hasn't happened because Didier is still awesome.

I think he just wants to remind the board that he is on a first team contract and should be playing more. If anything it shows hunger and determination which can only be a good thing.

well exactly. nothing wrong with wanting to play more, I just couldnt believe it when I saw the interview.


The most interesting part will come if Drogba stays lol.

I disagree with you on Kevin De Bruyne. From what I have seen, he is a good player but still quite raw. His development needs to be handled carefully. I think a loan move to a club like Everton will be beneficial for him.

Also if Drogab does end up leaving then I'd prefer we do not buy someone to replace him. Torres has started to show signs of life at the end of the season and Lukaku put in a great performance vs Blackburn and has spent a season working on his technical abilities which makes me confident that he can step up and provide adequate cover for Fernando Torres next season. No point splurging 40m on Cavani/Falcao especially since we need to strengthen other positions

In my opinion, for our RB we should look no further than Azpilicueta. Ivanovic is a excellent RB so in any case, the new RB will be rotated/provide cover for Ivanovic. Marseille are not in the Champions League this season meaning Azpilicueta can be bought relatively cheap. He is young and has lots of potential

Where I do not mind splashing the cash is obviously on Modric. Players like him are very very rare and he is someone who will take Chelsea to another level. Definitely should be our top priority this summer

Would like to see Hazard come in as well although I would not mind if that deal does not work out. Players like Schurrle, Jovetic, Willian, Griezzmann, Lavezzi would be very good buys as well
 
All I want to say is THANK YOU! You gave me unbelievable moments. Chelsea legend forever! Statue of him would be nice one day. Deserves it.
 
Great player but this is also great news for Chelsea as a club, moving on and building a new team. RDM won't be manager I recon, would of been announced by now if he was going to be.
 
Sad day for Chelsea. Legend these days gets thrown around ***** nilly but I think this guy deserves it, legend.
 
I will actually miss him from the Premier League. Great player and seems like a pretty genuine guy
 
Big pressure on Torres now to deliver, brave move by Chelsea as well, but the right one to be looking towards the future, Torres needs to perform next season though.
