One thing was can look forward to is the Suns amazing pun headlines in the future. Imagine he pulls his next side through a wet and windy wednesday night game at Stoke to help them win, cue headline. "Water Hazard"

one problem which i have about this Hazard deal is that he wants the number 10 shirt the same way Mata wanted is last summer. How is that going to work then?

Mata will keep it surely. Wouldnt get the #10 off Rooney either, might get it off Dzeko.

No doubt he can, but I think Iceland attacking wise can never really test him, hopefully if we ever get into their half (which we won't if we don't press them) when we play them our wide men can cause him a few more problems.

Yes he was quite good creating chances for others in attack, but didnt have much to do in defence. If Downings against him then he will have as easy day as he had yesterday.

Yeah well but even if he gets the shirt he wont be playing the #10 role at any of the clubs... Anyways he has trolled everyone on Twitter by saying he made his mind up but again refused to tell which club. We will get to know either way by 3-4th June

As much as I dislike his ego and media whoring, I think Hazard is a class player who can take Chelsea or any other club forward in the years to come. If he comes to Chelsea...

-----Ramires----Mata----Hazard--
---------------Torres------------

Would be a heck of a attacking front 4... Still think we need Modric either way if we are to make it work

This whole thing reminds me of the Lebron James basketball saga in America last summer. It had been rumoured for weeks where he was going to go, with multiple teams interested. Eventually there was a 30 minute TV show on it and in the last minute on the show he declared where he was going to go. Was crazy

Yeah well thankfully Hazard did not ask for a 30 minute spot on tv... But seriously never seen so much hype created before over the potential destination of a 21 year-old player in soccer

We can give him the numer #11 which was Drogba's number, surely that would interest him.

Actually its not about the shirt mate... Hazard wants to play the #10 role which he wont get to play at any of the 3 clubs he has narrowed down to. City have Silva, We have Mata and Man Utd have Rooney.

Anyways I guess he is going to announce it on Twitter today. So we just have to wait and see... I hope we do get him but even if we lost out on him their is still Hulk. Modric is still the player I really want and would be gutted if he goes to Man Utd

He's created it, and people seem it have lapped it up.

Unless we have kept it uber quiet, we have made no approach for Modric.

Credit to his agent, the amount of hype is bordering on hysterical. Their was not as much hype around Mata even though Mata is easily as good as Hazard

Apparently Modric said he will think about his future after the Euro's so thats something to look out for... Think Modric will definitely push for a move this summer. Spurs have missed out on CL football two years in a row now and they seem to be going nowhere

Juan Mata wasn't wanted by all the major clubs. Also, Hazard has won the Ligue 1 POTY two years running and has just finished the season with 20 goals & 17(?) assists. If he can achieve those stats in the premiership then there'll be no doubt he's the better player.

Spurs were in the title race longer than the other London clubs and would've been in the CL next season if Bayern hadn't flopped, bit harsh to say they're not going anywhere.

Yeah if Hazard achieves those stats in the PLM which I doubt. Sometimes a players game is more suited to a certain league as compared to another. Look at Silva/Mata for instance, nobody thought they were that good when they were playing in the La Liga because the defenders there were used to technically excellent players and knew how to defend against them but thats not the case in the PLM

Not really harsh imo, they got to the position they are now with one of their key players being Adebayor who is on loan. Oh no doubt they were in the title race for a short period of time and they managed to snag 4th ahead of a very poor Chelsea side who had to change managers mid-way.

Thing is I cant see them grabbing 4th again next season. We are definitely going to improve our side tremendously and even with our current side, the gulf in class between us and Spurs was not exactly that big. 5-1 win at Wembley comes to mind. Not to mention Spurs failed to defeat us the whole season

I thought Silva & Mata were class in Spain, alot of people did. Hazard is certainly suited to this league.

I didn't realise beating Chelsea was the key to finishing fourth :S Chelsea made a change for the better, when Capello left England and everyone was calling for 'Arry to replace him, that had the opposite effect on Spurs. Next season that won't happen, I think Spurs will improve this summer and even if they fail to finish above Chelsea; they can still get 4th ahead of Arsenal or Newcastle.

Spurs stumbled because their key players were jaded, and they had no answer when Lennon got injured, so they lost width. Redknapp didnt rotate well enough at all, which is why the stats of all his key players were down second half, you cannot play such a high tempo game all season without good rotation. Redknapp doesn't seem to have what it takes for that extra step, something that seems to concern a good number of Spurs fans.
