Still German league is way ahead of French in terms of quality. If you check Hazards stats he hasn't performed at all against top sides in France and in CL.<br>

But also most of Kagawa's stats come from Japan which isn't so competive league either. You can really only judge Kagawa vs Hazard from 2010 on.

Well difference in Dortmund vs Bayern and Lille vs Lyon/Marseille was pretty equal at that time. That difference has gone now. But still I think Hazard has amazing quality and will be amazing for Chelsea if he adapts well.

I worded it poorly, I agree. But you understand what I was saying I hope.
Mata has proven himself to be a good player in the Premier League. I doubt he's going to be de-throned by a new guy who's only played in The Ligue.

Looking at them both i would say Hazard is more suited to play wide than Mata. If that's the role he has to play in this step up in clubs then so be it, he has to do it.

It seems most of you have fallen for the fabricated media reports. It's no secret Hazard's dream role is the no.10 behind the striker. His idol when he was younger, like all of his brothers, was Zidane. There are pictures of them all with France shirts on with wearing the number 10. Like most players, they have idols they look up to, it's normal. Do you really think he will demand to play in the number 10 role? Ridiculous.

I kind of expected this reaction if we did nab him. Would've been interesting if the reaction was the same if he did choose United. (Although his tweet isn't as definitive as it should've been).

Still waiting for confirmation on the Chelsea website.

In fairness, Kagawa and Hazard are different players, and both excellent in their own rights, depsite being relatively young. Personally I prefer Kagawa (as ive said before) because I cant stand the frankly ridiculous games that Hazard is playing, and United need that kind of player who can exploit space behind the lone striker, whereas Chelsea need that wide creativity more. Hazard for my money is unlikely to play that 10 role for Chelsea (or indeed United, lets face it, his word means **** all at the moment). Mata was brilliant there, in my view even better there than Silva was for City, would make no sense to shift him for a player who has played most of his games from the left hand side (despite him saying its his favoured position, Hazard has only played as an AMC 10 times this season). I would also hope wherever he goes some of the senior players/manager tells him to shut up and let his football do the talking, built a lot of hype around himself, suspect the clubs fans will not be too sympathetic if he doesnt deliver.

JD, dont know if you have been reading the united thread (wont say city as bascially no one posts there, but the view of Hazard has largely remained the same ever since he started playing these games, talented player, slightly ridiculous attitude. For my part my view remains the same regardless of who he signs for.

He has been cocky because he can be, everyone talks him up like the sun shines out his **** constantly every day. 3 of the best clubs in Europe all battling to sign him, i'd be cocky too lol.

Like i said everyone who knows him/plays with him says he has blistering pace which Mata does not have so he may have to play out wide.
