Tricky Group. Shakhtar are a good team and Juventus will also prove to be very hard to beat although Conte's suspension might swing the odds in our favour.

In other news. Man City in the group of Death again. Mancini must be cursing his luck
who have city got?

thats not too bad think thay will get out of it

Chelsea group is a tough group in my books. Shakhtar and Juve - both strong teams, with something to prove. And both teams will want to beat us, just because.

Main thing that worries me is that Shakhtar can afford to rest their big players in domestic games before the CL Games because they play in a horrendously weak domestic league where the gap between them and other teams is pretty huge.

Also Juventus are an excellent team so we will certainly face a tough fight if we want to get out of our group or indeed top it

Conte's ban will affect Juve in some way no doubt. But they still remain a tough side to beat.

Reds eye Sturridge bid | Chelsea News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

If that happened, wouldnt be surprised if we were looking for a striker.

It's nonsense if we have only Torres and Moses.

On the highly unlikely chance that we are looking to sell him, we will never let him go to Liverpool. He is too talented a player to sell directly to our rivals unless they offer silly money which they are incapable of doing

Also Bayern Leverkusen came out and said their is no chance Schurrle is moving so it basically kills of any chance of us offloading Sturridge to get Schurrle. Also Hulk confirmed he is staying at Porto.

Why do you think it will be one of those two? Maybe another striker that we havent been linked with? You never know what Roman thinks.

You must admit that saying "There's no chance player [x] is moving" is basically a lot of **** these days. So you never know :)

There are not many striker/wide player hybrids avaliable who are better than Sturridge. Sturridge is young (22), scored some key goals for us last season and is versatile enough to play on either wing or as a striker. Also he is English which is a nice bonus

Only player who I can think of who will be a realistic replacement for Sturridge and fit into our Youth Policy is Schurrle and he is not going to be sold according to Leverkusen. Hulk would be a upgrade although his massive fee remains a problem...

Haha of course... I just don't see why Chelsea wants to move on Sturridge. Many people think that Sturridge has been pushed down the pecking order because of all the attacking players we bought but the truth is that RDM is using him as cover for Torres as Studge made it known to RDM that he sees his future as a CF

tbh I feel Sturridge will be a top top player once he improves on his decision-making. He has a lot of great qualities such as his pace and finishing as well as excellent dribbling skills with lots of flair etc. Overall, a very good player technically and physcially. If he can learn when to pass/shoot especially when playing out wide, he will really be something

As it was discussed in the Arsenal thread earlier, his pace also forces defenses to defend deep which will open up space for the likes of Mata, Oscar and Hazard.

Point of my rambling is.. It will be a huge mistake to let Sturridge go. Unfairly criticized by Chelsea fans most of the time. Give him some time and I am sure he will be a revelation

Also any business done by Chelsea FC. today will only be outgoings I imagine...

Malouda has been left behind and has not travelled with the squad to Monaco. It is well-known that he has been offered by Chelsea FC. to various clubs. Apparently his wages are the problem.. too high

Benayoun confirmed on Twitter he is going out on loan. Just a case of which club. Southamption and QPR interested

Some rumours of Essien leaving on loan/permanently as well. He is behind Meirless in the pecking order and after his injury... his mobility has fallen drastically. Perhaps he could be moved on

A big 'IF' right there. That's why I dont want him. He is not a team player. Simple as that. And he must understand that he won't play as CF at Chelsea. I'm pretty sure he is the 3rd choice for that position as of now.

And no, he doesnt seem to want to change his decision making, he wants to shoot, because he thinks he is a CF. But he is not. He plays out wide at Chelsea.

If he learned how to be a team player and pass the ****** ball, he might be a wonderful player to have.

If..
