If Terry had done the same thing, would you have welcomed him back?

Chelsea would probably have done the same and fans including myself will have accepted it. Its obviously not right the same way Ashley Cole gets off with a fine for shooting someone but thats the life of a top-level footballer guess

In other news... Luiz and Mata doubtful for Swansea game. With Terry and Brana suspended, it probably means team mascot Paulo Ferreira will be playing CB. Awesome

Ivanovic will be available as he was banned for only game isn't it?

Indeed. It's hard to punish one of your own players too hard when they are valued at millions of pounds, considering football clubs are run as much as a business than as a sports club these days. Fans, in general, will support the clubs players whatever happens.

Unfortuanely not.. He has been in pretty horrendous form defensively so hopefully he takes his 'break' as an opportunity to get his head straight

99% sure he is available as it was not a violent conduct.

Of course all of us are biased towards our club to some degree which is unavoidable but then some fans need to learn when that line stops when it concerns serious matters such as racism or singing about disasters etc. which many don't. Hence the harrasement of Anton and the displaying of a banner calling Clattenburg a legend on Wednesday

I would rest Mata. The lad looked shattered the other night. Its beyond me how we will cope defensively against the attack-minded Swansea.

According to Fantasy premier league, Ivanovic is available.

I thought all straight reds were 3 games?

Nah violent conduct earns you an extra 2 game ban. Most straight reds you see these days tend to be violent conduct thats all.

Might actually get to see Marin tommorow in a Chelsea shirt them since Mata is probably out. Good for him

Might not be so bad since I was wrong about Ivanovic. Still Ivanovic-Cahill is an untested CB partnership which might cause a few problems for us. That said I hope Sturridge plays well tommorow

Don't think its fair to take the actions of a minority as a representation of the whole fanbase, you always have a few morons on every fanbase now. Those fans who harassed Anton are morons and definitely not representative of the entire fanbase

I don't think there was any flaws in Chelsea's stance. We definitely handled the situation better than say Liverpool? And when Terry was found guilty by the FA, we did step up and punish him pretty severely based on present-day standards set for footballers.

I agree with your part on blind support. Obviously some of us, me included, have been guilty of doing that at some stage or another but then again Terry is a legend of the club and has been a great servant so sometimes its hard to castigate him...

Not just that, but the way he was constantly treated as if he was making it up even on these forums. You couldnt have handled it any worse than Liverpool to be fair. And there was the whole Chelsea thing of Terry being victimised ( he wasnt). Even after he was found guilty, people were still talking about a stitch up. Being a legend doesnt stop wrong being wrong, whether its Terry, Rio or otherwise.

With Luiz and Mata doubtful I would like to see this line up tomorrow: Cech Azpilicueta Ivanovic Cahill Cole Mikel Ramires Moses Oscar Hazard Sturridge
