Just popping into the thread to get my daily dose of humour. Scouse delusion? Hahaha! There's only one deluded person in this thread mate and his name rhymes with WHACKO.

Also flimsy support! Do me a favour, these supporters are ones who spend their living on getting to away games every other week. If there is someone at the club who shouldn't be there then they have the right to air it!

The only thing these people managed to air, is that Chelsea is laughing stock in entire Europe right now.

Its funny because if Rafa came , had a full backup of board, fans and the dressing room, but still failed, his reputation would be ruined.

But since he has no backup from anywhere and had to clean after botched transfers of Roberto di Woodeo that left you with no center mid, he gets to walk with his head up and the only reputation ruined is the club's. All these chants had backfired into a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

So yep, job well done, really put the fat spanish waiter in his place with this entire Rafa-out saga.

Seriously what have i said that can be classed as delusional? Seriously? You have your opinion and i have mine.

You really think transfers were down to Di Matteo? Also the club is more of a laughing stock because of their treatment of Di Matteo and the fact they appointed a hated man. Not because of the treatment from fans to Rafa.

For me Rafa will find it hard to get a job at a top level after this and Inter. As i continue to say some times managers can lose touch of the game and again as i keep saying there was a reason why he was out of a job for 2 years.

I've been hiding while this embarrassing fiasco builds but it's becoming unbearable. I wouldn't be surprised if we missed out on 4th spot which is ridiculous given the squad and start to the season we had.
Wouldn't it be great if Jose came home and we ruined that relationship after a few bad results resulting in him being sacked? I can't wait.

If Rafa see's out the season we won't finish in the top 4 that's as Rafa likes to say is a "fact".

Well, Arsenal are in terrible form and somehow only 2 points behind you guys. So assuming Arsenal don't implode there's a real chance of it happening. Players need to play for the manager and the team right about now, regardless of what they think of the man.

Not to mention Spurs cruising right now.

But if you do sack him you will? hmmmmm
Who would you propose you get? Despite Roman logic the answer isn't always 'sack the manager'

Players will play for managers they believe in or managers who manage them well and Rafa is neither of them at the moment. It has gone to far now and keeping him in charge will only be bad news for us.

I agree sacking isn't always the right way to go but in this case appointing Rafa wasn't the right thing to do. Avram Grant's name has been thrown around and i'd personally prefer him to Rafa because at least he let the players do their own thing and it worked. That or Steve Holland until the end of the season will do me fine.

What relationship? He's already been sacked by you guys once. (;

Arsenal's league form isn't terrible at all.. In fact, I think the only team to have picked up more points in the last few weeks is United. They will almost certainly be favourites for 3rd place if they beat Tottenham tomorrow.

I agree about the players playing for the team.. The fans are not helping by calling for Rafa's head all day, he is a good manager and we have seen that when his team play without pressure they win comfortably. Chelsea fans are shooting themselves in the foot by giving him so much ****, when they finish outside the top four they won't care because Rafa will be gone.. Just a completely retarded mentality to have. It's been said a million times before, if you want somebody to blame for this, look at the owner.

Do the players have a problem with Rafa? Why hasn't he managed them well?

why not?

dont get me wrong, Rafa is partly at fault for team selections/decisions etc

But you have a group of world class players, spent alot of money so the players should also be taking the blame... its quite worrying the lack of quality depth you have had considering how much you have spent

only problem with sacking him is who do you get? you have sacked a high percentage of the best managers in the world already

You mean like Villas Boas did?

And his players at Spurs love him, it's clear to see when they celebrate with him after they win. So why didn't it work at Chelsea? And why hasn't Rafa worked? God forbid anyone blame the owner, supporters or players...

The club is surrounded by egos and until more of them leave, the Chelsea job will continue to be a poisoned chalice

If a fan thinks he has made a bad call in terms of a sub or lateness of a sub or not even using your permitted subs then players feed off that too. A few games ago Lampard looked over to see Mata's number on the board to be replaced by Benayoun and he put his head in his hands and turned away.

Whether you have brilliant players or not doesn't mean you will be guaranteed wins just like that. I do blame the players too don't get me wrong but which ever way you look at it if players are not performing to their highest level then the buck lies with the manager. It doesn't even have to be anyone who is the best in the world though does it, Di Matteo was doing a pretty decent job.

AVB's situation was totally different, he didn't fail immensely in his last job and was not out of work for 2 years prior too. I actually backed AVB when he got sacked unlike many fellow CFC fans and i knew he would be a success. I also don't think its just about the ego's because Lampard was on the bench at times under Di Matteo and he never kicked up a fuss so AVB maybe could have managed certain decisions better. But the biggest thing which didn't help AVB was the players we had compared to the system he wanted to play. As i said right man wrong time, if he was appointed this summer with the players we now have and he may have bought in Moutinho then it may have been better for him regardless of the "big egos".

World class players wont guarentee wins but they should be winning more than they are currently..

I blame one thing and thats the fans.

im not saying all are the same, but you go to Stamford bridge, with boo's ringing out all game, banners slagging off the manager, and going back to Torres even booing your own player now

how do you think this is going to help the team... again, not saying its the majority but Stamford Bridge wont be the same to opposition at the minute, because there is more dislike towards their own side than the opposition

We have been winning games hence why we are still in the top 4 (for now) but whenever he comes up against a much better manager it shows.

No really sure what games you have been watching then and you must be just reading the papers because everything you said is so wrong its beyond belief. Booing at home doesn't happen especially for the whole game, how is banners slating the manager going to effect player performances and Torres being booed happened once and the next game after he was applauded and his name cheered when he came on. If anything there is nothing at Stamford Bridge, hardly no anti rafa chants, no booing nothing. Infact most of the chants come in away games (where we have been better) because then it is the majority not the minority. Like i said you obviously didn't watch many games and as someone who went to a game as long ago as last week i know the reality and not horse **** printed in papers.

Whatever your opinion is on the matter, for me its an awful atmosphere to be in within Stamford Bridge and its not helping

it was not a good appointment by Roman knowing the history. Protests were maybe expected at the start, but now all its doing is harming the club

and on the banners.. it creates a bad atmosphere, its as simple as that

Really? Booing happens, you're just blind to it because you can't possibly believe that the fans are in the wrong. It might not happen all game but it does happen and you saying Torres got booed once is just a joke.
Banners are everywhere, chants happen fairly often. They all effect players.
You're obviously so deluded and wrapped up in your own us v the world bubble you miss it all.

If you say fans thinking the manager has made a bad decision can affect the players then why wouldn't the fans wanting the manager out have an affect on players?

The only way to be heard is by doing this.

I think you will find i am not "blind" to it at all mate and if my club/fans do something i do not agree with i will call them up on it. The fact you think otherwise shows how little you know of me. I said Torres got booed once and did i agree with it? Booing happens at the end of games at home if the result is not positive, the same sort of booing that happens at the Emirates when they are not winning at half time or full time. These boos you speak of that happen during the game who are they aimed at? The fans don't just start booing! Chants at Rafa yes they happen but don't really take off at home as its in pockets. And it did happen once with Torres against Swansea which was a game a lot of non supporters/plastic fans went to because the game went on general sale. At the next 2 home games after that he was cheered and applauded as he came on/off.

If you say fans thinking the manager has made a bad decision can affect the players then why wouldn't the fans wanting the manager out have an affect on players?

Because the players know they are bad decisions too. Footballers have their own mind and don't need the fans's reaction to make their minds up. Grant was treated poorly by a section of fans back in the day but the players still performed for him.
