Yeah Malouda is good for key passes, but what was his shots to goal ratio? I don't know it myself, but I'm sure it will be absolutely terrible. And Zhirkov doesn't play anywhere near as high up as Malouda so isn't going to get as many key passes. Zhirkov play centrally mostly so I would hope Malouda would have more crosses than Zhirkov. And the last point - what?

Yes but the last time he had real form was about 11 months ago, does that not show he doesn't have the form/ability anymore? People go on about his good stats last year, but that's only because he is greedy. I like Malouda, but I don't see what he brings to the team anymore.
Malouda and Zhirkhov had the same passing success rate. I don't know Malouda's shots per goal ratio, but It's the best in the entire team (in the league), at least for the offensive players, it's better than Zhirkhov's too.
And the last point is saying that Zhirkhov having more assists per game doesn't show much about his abilities. A good example of that is Modric only having 2 assists despite having a lot of key passes simply because his strikers aren't prolific enough.

Pretty much all of Malouda assits are shots that somebody gets on the end of or rebounds. Assists don't tell you anything about Malouda because you wouldn't expect 13 assists from the greediest player on the team, would you?
Now you just make arguments that don't make sense. Just admit to it or realise that Malouda trumped Zhirkhov in every way last season. Sure he's greedy with the most crosses and key passes in the team, sure...
Im sure he will just be back-up.
Drogba (assuming thats who you meant by greedy?) averages 2 key passes a game, cant be that greedy. That is very high for a forward
No, Malouda. Drogba is probably the least greedy striker we have.
I hope so. His crossing has been dire. I would still rather have another back-up right back, knowing Jose's injury problems.
Malouda's is 3.1 per game. But its also hard to make comparisons when Zhirkov played so few games.
And what do you base this on? Malouda isn't **** at all.
Stat-wise yes he trumped him, but stats don't always tell you the full story...especially with Malouda. My argument isn't making sense? What I'm saying is that Malouda never crosses or passes when he gets near goal...all he does is shoot, but quite often somebody will get on the end of them because his shooting is so wayward and the other times it is from where he shoots at goal, it rebounds and lands at somebody's feet and he gets an "assist".
