So...now that we've lost out on Pastore, who do you all want to solve our lack of a playmaker?

I think we're going to bid for Modric again sometime next week, but I really hope we don't; I want somebody young, but ready - like Pastore would've been. Most of the players I would want are 'unavailable', although I'm sure they would become available if a good offer was to come in. One that is available though is Pjanic who could solve our problem, another I would quite like is Hazard who could also play on the wings, but he's one of the 'unavailable' players, so I can't see it happening...But imagine if we did get him, and then also get our long-term target of Lukaku and then also De Bruyne...A Belgian Revolution? Hazard, Lukaku, De Bruyne an Courtois, that would be amazing. But I doubt it will happen, anyway enough of my rabbling, who do you want?

Gutted about Pastore, thought we had a real chance of getting him. Despite all Sneijder's qualities I don't think he represents real value for money taking everything into account, plus it's obvious he wants the United move.

I'd go for Mata. Still young and can play in a number of positions, on the wing in a 4-3-3 or behind the ST is a 4-2-3-1. Would be much cheaper than the other targets to.

Yes agree on Pastore and Sneijder.

I really, really want Mata and he can play through the centre but a lot higher up, and not really a playmaker. He would work in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-1-2 through the centre, but I want to get him to play on the wing, just what we need on one of the wings in a 4-3-3. So yeah he would be great for us, but if we do get him then I'd think we still need a playmaker.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on Mata either :(
Apparently ol' Arsene's practically agreed everything with Valencia.

I'm still waiting to see if he will actually transfer to PSG. Zamparini has lied, how many times is it now? 1328? Neither club is yet to make it official.

Yeah I know, that's another reason I'm disappointed with transfers so far. I trust AVB, but I think he should have made 1 or 2 biggish signings early on. My choices would have been Pastore and Mata, but because we have waited too long on Pastore we've been beaten by PSG and now it looks like the same will happen with Mata. I would be very interested to find out who AVB's top targets are because all the players that would make sense if we bought them are going to other teams, have already gone or are unavailable and then there's obviously Modric who we have concentrated on too much.

I hope he's lying, but I just don't think he is and I read on the FIFA website that PSG have announced they have agreed a price, but that's not on their website, so I think they maybe announced it to a TV channel or something. I could look it up, but I've given up getting my hopes up now, so I'm just going to leave it. I think Zamparini is hoping for Chelsea to up their bid, but it seems as though we aren't going to.

because he hast had his medical yet, fee and details agreed, needs to sign and have his medical before its confirmed
 
Gutted to be honest.. I'm guessing/hoping AVB has someone he wants/has in mind and will make a move in the coming week as he did say he'd move in August.
 
Hypothetically, Chelsea have a very small window in which they can hijack the deal, but in essence hes a PSG player
