Turnbull's not even in De Gea's orbit...I wouldn't even mention them in the same breathe when comparing their talents to be honest.

I wonder if the Begovic rumours will resurface for the next 13 days...

It's only 3-4 weeks, I'm sure Hilario can do a job.

since no one read it last post, can we call back courtois, or do we have to rely on the brilliance of hilario and turnull.

Don't know, but it would be pointless. Hilario is good enough for 3-4 weeks.

''Rumours'' often don't make sense...

We all know we don't need Courtois but I'm sure The Sun will spin some line that Chelsea will turn their sights on Begovic or some nonsense.

@ColinUdohColin Udoh

Been in contact with Mikel and his family. N20m has nowhere near enough zeros to what has been demanded

You know the Spanish League will probably be called off in the first week so Courtois could come lol

Anyways, I am hoping Hilario steps up and gives a solid performance, hope to see Lukaku in action against West Brom :)

First interview with him :) man im so glad for the lad.

I am just worried about Hilario, he really needs alert to stop the likes of Odemwingie and Shane Long, hopefully our defence are on top of their game and do not give him a busy day

People say Drog and Torres can't play together...Lukaku and Torres can in my opinion, different player in his style on the ball to Drogba.

I think if Romelu+Torres click quickly with Mata out wide and Moutinho in the midfield...Then by god I know I would be scared if I was against that.

Kalou+Malouda=Not scaring me one bit as an opponent to be honest.

mhmm.... sounds like a great combo although Mata-Torres-Sturridge sounds like a devastating combination as well in our 4-3-3... AVB certainly will have an influx of attacking options availiable to him if we sign Mata

**** it, play Jemal Blackman insted!!!! I dont think Lukaku will start saturday but i think he will be on the bench, so glad im going to be there and may see the lads debut. ****** off i wont see Cech though.

You'd have to actually sign Mata and Moutinho first ;)

How does it feel to be sat here as a Chelsea player?
Amazing. It's a dream come true. I dreamed to play here since I was 10 years old, thinking about shaking hands with all those players like John Terry andFrank Lampard and Didier Drogba, it's amazing to arrive here in a big club with big ambition. It was just what I was searching for.
What made you interested in Chelsea to begin with?
I watched the Premier League since I was nine. Every weekend I watched the games, I used to watch Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scoring goals and remember one against Manchester United, the volley at Old Trafford, and I decided I wanted to support this team.

I remember reading a writer saying he was a Madrid fan, from his reaction/excitement/comments for the past few years...I would suggest he's a Chelsea fan more than anything.

On Courtois (Very nice to hear this looking forward):
I know Thibaut, he is a very good friend of mine and we played against each other since we were 13 years old when he was at Genk and I was in Anderlecht. I remember one game we played we won 4-0 and I scored four times. Sometimes we still laugh about that, but I am happy we are in the same team because he is a very good goalkeeper who is very calm and I hope he will get a good season on loan in Atletico.

I should have put a disclaimer at the bottom, I was in fact dreaming I believe...

Don't expect so much from Sturridge next season, he's not quite 'there' yet for me.

Very disappointing in the Euro's and still relatively unproven, I would be worried if we expect him to win us a title next season. Not ready, couple of years off, his game is still raw.

Although it is a blow to lose Petr Cech, I'm sure Hilario is more than capable of doing a good job versus WBA, Norwich and Sunderland. Hopefully, big Pete will be back for the first six pointer of the season at Old Trafford. During the last twenty four hours, I have been delighed to read positive news on Luka Modric ans Juan Mata. Personally, I think it is only a matter of time both players will be paraded in Chelsea colours. That being the case, I wonder how the team will line up. In my opinion, Modric will play alongside Lampard in midfield with Ramires, Mikel and Romeu completing for the as the holding player. What happens in the front three though? I'm not that familiar with Juan Mata but I hear he is an exceptional left winger. If Torres plays as the central striker, who plays on the right side? 1. Daniel Sturridge had a great pre-season, but is left footed and a central player? This may still give us width issues with the team relying on the full back to bomb on? 2. Nicholas Anelka, as he did last season? 3. Drogba/Lakaku, playing alongside Torres with no natural width on the right side? 4. Malouda and Mata swappping wings, as Robben and Duff did? 5. Will we sign another riht winger, like Kevin De Bryune or Eden Hazard? Whatever happens, if we sign Modric and Mata, it is a major step to overhauling Manchester United and keeping City at bay. Come on Roman, get it done!
